I'm quite sure McDermott's approach isn't what transpired. The players still need to play well, regardless of the approach. It was week 1, we DO have some undersized players on D, and the Ravens ARE a great team. We were always going to give up points and yards to the Ravens. We just were. Sure, lots of the D didn't play well, but again, I don't think it's because McDermott had a bad plan.

I will say that now that we have Allen, I'm glad that other teams are destroying their young QBs careers. We don't need anymore competition until we get our first SB. Selfish, I know.

I would like to think that the defense will play better after watching they watch the tape of the Ravens game. Generally speaking, when we've had poor performances, we'll usually improved for the next game. Also, while Hall is a very good back, he's not Henry (i.e. a freak who is the size of a DT, but has the speed of a WR).
