I would imagine it is possible they could have had him as part of a deal that didn't happen, but I highly doubt the Bills would want that info out there (as opposed to the info about almost getting Waddle which seemed like Beane wanted out there as a "hey, look, I tried" type of thing).

I assume you have Amazon Prime as that is where it is being aired? If so, I have younger children that don't fall asleep until 8:30 to 9ish range so I always end up starting the games late. When you go on Prime there is usually an option on there if the game is still live to start from the beginning and then you can catch up at your leisure without missing anything (as long as you stay away from your phone, etc.).

Right? Kind of the exact opposite of early round strategy vs. later round strategy. Early, go for the "sure things" and later go for the "upside" guys. And to Beane's credit, he has some history with the mid-round guys definitely working out...less so with the early round guys (Allen of course).

I believe he already has the most ever for regular and post-season combined. But once he passes 75, I believe he'll also then have the most ever for a QB in either regular season or regular/post-season.

In fairness, he was never going to play in this game on a short week. He may be back for Pittsburgh (that would be 4 weeks from the injury). By that logic we should have lost after the bye week because it was brought up many times that McDermot is undefeated coming off the bye.

And if he does end up with less snaps due to Coleman being back, that would directly go against everything McD preaches about earning your spot, working hard and being rewarded, etc. Shavers has put in the work, finally made the team in training camp, and had a career game. I hope he and Allen continue to build a rapport.

I really hope Coleman is inactive (not sure who would replace him with the injuries we have)...I think him not being out there was truly addition by subtraction. If he is again playing the most WR snaps like he had been all season, that is a bad move. If he is active, but has a reduced roll, that could work. I just don't want to see him leading the WR snap count. Our secret plan!

That's my favorite look for us. Clean.

Coaches are too stubborn and likely think we are still "a good team who needs to figure it out". They don't pass the eye test at all. We have 21 points, but no drives. Everything has been hard on offense and BAD on defense. Special teams had been good, but just cost us the lead. Bad all around.

We are done this year. Call it injuries, bad coaching, bad game planning, bad drafting. Does not really matter what you call it. We can't stop any team's run game. Haven't been running the ball well for 2 weeks now. Allen is off. Play calling is off. Just a really tough year. We're looking at likely being 6 and 5 after Thursday night, with the Division definitely gone and missing the playoffs a very real thing.
