Around the NFL Week 15 (no Bills talk in this thread please)

I hate KC. Like a lot. To the point where I automatically even hate people who are from there. -

Can't wait to see the way KC wins in the final minute this week. Another blocked field goal? The Browns drummer spontaneously combusting? -
12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game day Thread
Johnnycage46 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. Today has a big impact on 1 seed, depending on KC/CLE game. But independent of KC, a Bills loss, while depressing, still keeps us in a great spot for the 2 seed considering our remaining schedule and Pittsburgh's remaining schedule. -
Cheerful thought? It's just one game and we are already in the playoffs? No matter how badly we lose tomorrow it only counts for one loss?
-
Yeah, it's crazy, especially considering the bye was only 2 games ago. Seems no matter what happens we are always beat up heading into the playoffs.

Week 15, Bills v. Lions, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Lions 41 Bills 31 -
I didn't realize points carry over to the next game.

At this i will take it!

Really no idea what to think for this game. Lions got the extra 3 days off and are rolling. We had zero practice this week, seem suddenly banged up again, and our defensive performance last week didn't inspire confidence. If our O can get going early (unlike 1st half last week), and our D can at least hold up in the red zone on at least 2 or so drives for FG we might have a shot to keep it close. Oh and NO special teams blunders please.

work Christmas parties.........love em or hate em?
Johnnycage46 replied to Sweats's topic in Off the Wall
I quit drinking about 4 years ago...when I DID drink, I loved the work christmas party (open bar, hotel room, etc.)...but always had those thoughts the next day of (wait, was I talking to my boss last night??? Did I say anything stupid???). Now that I don't drink, I typically don't even go to the work party as it's kind of boring lol. -
Opinions on this wonderful 2024 Bills season at 10-3
Johnnycage46 replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think our playoff D woes (I can't find the stat, but there was a graphic I saw that showed our playoff D gives up like 15-20 more points per game than our regular season D over the last 5 years) could derail things. If our defense can at least be average in the playoffs and Josh and the O stays on, I think we can go far. If we have anything close to the Rams game, we're probably not getting out of the divisional round. Again matchups matter...so I guess it also depends on who we end up playing in the playoffs. -
12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams post game Thread
Johnnycage46 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
For me, we are there now. SB or bust should be the expectation. It's not a cute or feel good story anymore to JUST make the playoffs. -
"Why do you hate me?"
-
I can't even imagine how scary that would be. Maybe if that ever happens he'll have a zen moment and just stare off into space and let the game just happen around him lol. Honestly, I don't even see KC as the biggest threat in the playoffs. I am more worried about getting past Baltimore (and even Pittsburgh with Wilson's ridiculous deep throws) first. I mean, who knows what will happen, but after yesterday and the Ravens game earlier, there is some serious concern that this type of defensive performance comes back again in the playoffs as the competition ramps up.
-
At this point, if the Bills ever win a Super Bowl with McD as head coach it will be because they've somehow loaded so much talent on the team that they win despite his coaching...or Allen and the offense score so much that McD's in-game coaching decisions can't contribute to a loss.
-
That would require some level of smart coaching (i.e. I know my defense can't stop a nose bleed today so I need as many points on each drive as possible).
-
100%. In fact, it's the main reason they are 12-1 right now. Their O is nothing special this year, but their D keeps them in every single game. If it wasn't for Allen's 4th and 2 conversion they may be undefeated thanks to their defense.
-
Thank you! It's exactly this. It's not the losing...its the how they lost. Both the Ravens and Rams games the D was just bullied. And statistically speaking our D in the playoffs is BAD under McD. That's the crashing back to earth feeling that I had watching yesterday...
-
Just curious where you see the Bills matching up well with Detroit. Detroit has the advantage at O line vs our D line, at RB vs our LBs, at WR vs our Safeties. Not trying to call you out specifically but just trying to get a sense of why people think this might be a close game...at all. Yes...but no.
-
The special teams thing is crazy to me. That is most likely correct to say that because he doesn't play special teams he doesn't get activated...but our special teams SUCK. This staff puts way too much emphasis on special teams to have it be a poor unit. They should just get the best/most talented D and O players on the field regardless of special teams.
-
Yet again...such an absolute waste of Allen's elite skills.
-
That's the thing, because Campbell is aggressive it provides extra opportunities to swing the game in favor of the Bills (stuffing a 4th down in the Lions territory as an example), but I don't think we have the dogs to do it is the problem.
-
No, I'll watch. I never miss a game. But yes, after yesterday's debacle, we should all be very encouraged and positive! 100% agree. Campbell is not afraid to go for it so it could be another game where our O has 15 to 20 mins of TOP. Just hoping for no injuries at this point. Lol, not my first rodeo, just stating what I've observed. This seems pretty likely at this point. #2 seed seems like our destiny again this year.
