My old avatar was just his face.   not the whole body.  and it had a red background.  But the picture I uploaded now is my son holding a kinfish in Marathon from last year.   I never look back it distracts from the now.   I'm the original from the BBMB.  Accept no substitute.

wait it may have been his full body but not standing at an angle, he was facing head on.

    Pretty silly, actually.

Please share a link to information as to how and WHY McDermott would have any knowledge of the workings of R Brandon.

Here is a clue - The new owners have been in charge long enough for all of the staff who have been let go, to have actually "hung themselves" through work performance or personality issues.

Obviously Brandon was not part of that reset button, that was pressed last year after the draft.   That is when all the scouting department/FO was let go.    Brandon had saved himself yet again but I don't think McDermott really cared at all about Brandon as he had no sway over McDermott or Beane's jobs in any kind of way.

McDermott had it spelled out in his contract just who exactly he answered to and how.    Brandon was never a factor in McDermott's plans or the scope of his power within the organization.   Brandon hung himself with his own poor decisions within the building that's what cooked his goose, had nothing to do with McDermott

My point being when we took Kyle he was a 5th round pick....and we didnt know much about him at the time like the Rook

Now to be fair here.....the rook is stepping in behind a multi pro bowler sure fire wall of famer in the Meatball and NOT that loser John McCargo.

but both were late round picks and unknowns to start..that is all I am saying.

My feeling if he gets anywhere close to Kyle Williams in play we scored

I agree I think getting him in the late 3rd was an absolute homerun for this draft.   He will come in here like a sponge and soak up a lot of knowledge from both Kyle and Star.  I expect a heavy rotation from our Dline finally now that we have guys worth rotating.   I'd like to see Adolphus Washington step it up too because I feel like he should be doing the 3 tech behind Kyle while Phillips should be backing up Star at the nose, but wherever they put them I expect a better run defense this year vs last year.   Add a much faster LB in Edmunds and a 2nd year LB in Millano and our front 7 should be improved.

There was a point where Kyle Williams was not Kyle Williams.

I still remember when we drafted him....in what...the FIFTH round...

What was the knock on him at that time.....short arms I think.

I know this....when we drafted Adolphus Washington I was VERY concerned about the talk that he was  not stout against the run and his pass rush ability was being promoted...first and foremost a DT has to CONTROL THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.......I think we found that with this guy.

I remember Kyle Williams being Kyle Williams from day 1 week 1 practice 1.   They didn't want to admit McCargo was a mistake because Kyle was doing every thing better than he was but Kyle could always play.

What the Bills no doubt recognize - and what many fans, apparently, do not, is the fact that you can't evaluate College QBs with analytics unless you go far deeper into the numbers than these lame-brain draftniks that craft their careers by pushing their nonsense onto unsuspecting pinheads like Mike Schopp. As much as the likes of Schopp like to say that NFL teams don't know how to evaluate talent, the fact is scouts know a lot more about it than do the number crunching analytics-nerds we listened to for months.

The Bills avoided Josh Rosen not unlike how you or I avoid touching a red stovetop. Rosen himself demonstrated the reasoning with his post-selection rant.

But the Bills, behind closed doors, are snickering at the press on Allen. They know what they have and will unleash it on the league soon enough.

Until then, here's an important safety tip: The instant any of these talent-evaluator hacks that are paraded across our airwaves make a connection between 56% and accuracy, immediately turn them off. And if anyone wishes to debate the merit of using 56% as a measure of Josh Allen's accuracy, bring it...

I'm guessing you've seen the actual game tape of the Hawaii game :D

  6. If he does his job in this defense, Edmunds and Millano will look like the beasts.   But the kid knows what it means to do the grunt work in order to win games.   Love the pick.  Kyle Williams he's not.  But as a rotational run stuffing DT, well our run defense was pretty bad last year.

Edmunds needs to be coached up, but he's a physical freak. He was projected as a top ten pick.

Time will tell, but I think this draft was a slam dunk.

With Edmunds they could go in two directions, one they could leave him as a MLB and I think he'll be as good as Kuechly if everything works out, or 2 they could try and move him outside, which I do not think they will do, but I could imagine having him out there, it would make a lot of people forget we passed on Khalil Mack.

Not sure how Beane would have outsmarted himself. He preferred Allen over Rosen.

Whether he was right remains to be seen. If he was wrong, will it be a career buster? I don’t think so. No GM is ever 100% right and he didn’t give up enough that will cripple the franchise.

I agree with you. Beane got his franchise QB without giving up 2019 picks, if Allen doesn't pan out we'll reset and reload and try again.    He also got a fantastic LB in Edmunds so regardless as long as Phillips and Edmunds work out he'll be fine.
