  1. I think Shaquem Griffin has a good shot at DROY if he even plays medicore.   It's such a great story and being on his brothers team and all.   The whole situation is a PR dream for the NFL I think they're going to milk it for all it's worth.

That OG we got doesnt look too shabby either.

Not every hole has been addressed, but hard do that in or or even 2 drafts when you are completely changing schemes both defensively and offensively.

    We still need

    A RT that doesnt suck

    A stretch the field receiver

    This guy gets it.

    All of this is true

Frankly it really does not even matter to me in the end

    - Some are lamenting the 2 2nd round picks we gave up IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR QB IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU TOOK WITH THOSE 2ND ROUND PICKS....quarterback is the most important postion on the field.

    - We managed to keep 22....which we turned into a freak athletic linebacker

    - Still managed to get that OG and DT in the later rounds both of which could be starting soon

    - If Allen works out then giving up the whole draft would have been worth it....lucky for us Beane is a ninja

The fact we didn't give up a 2019 pick and we got both Allen and Edmunds and still got Phillips this draft was an absolute homerun in my opinion.   We just have to develop Allen properly

    no..he wouldnt

I don't think he would have been either.   Miami was rumored to be looking, and we know Arizona was moving up for a QB.   We could have sat there at 12, watched Rosen or Allen go at 10 to Arizona, then watched Miami take the leftover at 11 and been exactly where we were in 2004 watching our franchise QB go 1 pick before us.

Well good for you, however, if he were as good as Brady or Rodgers then it wouldn’t matter so much if he was a prick, would it?  Look...teams passed on him for a reason.  We can all sit here and speculate why it happened, but it happened.  Deal with it.

My thoughts exactly.  I think the people who are still butt-hurt about drafting Josh Allen are going to beat this one to death though.

who's this guy think he is? Tommy Noble?

Its not about being drafted 10th its about having 3 QB's drafted before him and he felt he was better that they were.

That's a competitor IMO... He dosen't want to be 2nd to anyone. I never saw an issue with any of that. I have to assume he was a just a horrible interview

We will find out. If he implodes in Arizona then he'll get the pretentious label. If he turns into a NFL career QB it will be called confidence.

I hope he realizes eventually that where he got drafted has nothing to do with anything.   Kelly was in the Teens, heck Marino was late 20s.   It doesn't matter where you get drafted it's what you do once you get your opportunity.

I think he'll get it and get to work.

  7. Making it sound like getting picked 10th is a bad thing.   I guess Roethlisburger, Flacco, Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers, and all the other succesful QBs drafted outside the top 10 have a gigantic axe to grind.   Or they just went to work and did their job.

I could see if Rosen was drafted the way Rodgers was, 23rd, and then has to sit behind Favre he would have been a problem child in Green Bay.    I hope the kid grows up and gets to work other wise he won't be in the league long.

You can be a smartass just to be a smartass I suppose. Or one can acknowledge that the current HC and GM got the team to the playoffs last year.  And that even so they have acknowledged they have a long way to go still to build the team into what they want.

I think what a lot of fans don't see is the culture change within the organization, all they see are the Ws and Ls and even that should be enough.   Did anyone think after Watkins and Darby were dumped last year this was  a 9-7 team?  I had us at 6 wins and I wasn't sure that was realistic.   We overachieved last year, but the Pegulas can see the plan that was mapped out by McDermott through his interviews coming to fruition.   He has given them tangible results to justify everything he asked for when they brought him in.   The same with Beane.  He gets rid of two very popular players with the fans and says "next year I'll get us a QB" and he delivers.

And I believe firmly none of this was done with any involvement of Brandon at all.   I also believe that McBeane had nothing to do with him being let go they neither wanted or cared what RB did it had no effect on their day to day work.   Brandon brought this firing on himself.

Jason Peters should be on the team for sure, I didn't go back that far.

As for the person asking "what's the point"?  The point is, it's May, real football is 3 months away.  Sometimes it's fun to talk about something random.

The point is it's a discussion forum, so throw out some stuff and we'll discuss :D

Not really... I remember not liking Kyle Williams. I wanted us to start McCargo. He seemed like he played better early on in their careers but staff seemed to love Kyle Williams and I couldn't figure out why... Boy was I wrong.

I was biased for Kyle from the start for one simple reason. I played with #95 in junior high and that was my number so I was all in on Kyle from the get go.   I also had a Sam Adams Jersey that i recycled as well.   Still have it.   Still have my Dareus error jersey that I'm probably going to recycle as well.

  11. I'll just defer to this FO knowing a lot more about this than I ever will.   Daboll was with the Patriots and Alabama, he's worked under Saban/BB.   Beane and McDermott have had success before through drafting.  Last year's draft was pretty good considering we got a LT in the 2nd round, got a runner up candidate for DROY and hopefully a WR who can make a major contribution this season.   I love the Edmunds/Phillips picks.   In fact i love pretty much every pick other than Allen, so I think the issue is me not knowing more than them picking the wrong guy.

We were all wondering where you went to.

Been on Reddit in purgatory.   It's not bad over there but i didn't know about this place until yesterday.   I've seen Teef and TWSS on here, BadLandsMeanie, I was wondering if WallsofJerico13 made it over here.   Saw Stuvian around here too.  Good to see some of the old posters.
