  1. Mayfield is going to be leading in every category give him 4 more starts
  2. I don't know about all the optics of it, people want to say it was piling on, maybe it was, Marrone is kind of a DB. But in this instance, knowing that down the road he may need to get a 2pt conversion to win a game, I say get some reps in live action while you can. But I"m looking at it from that standpoint only. Not the emotional lenses most people are probably correctly looking through. Maybe it's a big eff you to the owner of the Jets, in which case it's still pretty iffy. You are winning the game. what does 2 extra points do?
  3. Just trying to get the best 11 on the field IMO.
  4. I don't disagree with him, if we had any offense at all yesterday it would have been a much more competitive game.
  5. I want to have reasons to hate on Marrone, but this really isn't one of them. You're up, you are going to win the game, might as well get in some 2 point conversion work in a live situation. Ehh, I don't hate it.
  6. I thought this was a 7-9 team going into the season at best. Thinking 4-12 now, good teams are going to exploit weaknesses and we have a bunch of holes. You send pressure up the middle and flush Allen early, and he'll bail on a clean pocket later on. We don't have any wrs who get open. or who can catch a pass if it hits them in the hands either. Run blocking is bad, pass blocking is worse. Defense is not terrible, but sketchy at times. As much as everyone loves Milano, he gets washed out of plays a lot and at the point of attack he loses more than he wins. We are still looking for LBs. Edmunds is green but growing, he's going to be insane in 2 years and this defense will be at it's peak with a few tweaks to it like a better corner, and a little more pass rush. It's a growing pains year, and if we win vs Tennessee, that's not going to change my mind. Hell if we win vs Houston the week after, still not changing my mind.
  7. Grab a center in free agency, a guard too. sign a couple of wrs to compete as well. If we draft top 10, either take the best blue chip player we can get, if it's a WR great, if not, entertain options to trade back and acquire more picks. We need at least one interior olineman, we need a WR, we need a CB. I know we already have 10 picks, and i definitely would be moving up we need 2-2nd rounders and 2-3rd rounders, to go with 2-1st rounders if we can get em. I'd fire Castillo, i'd hire another OL coach, not sure who but anyone at this point is preferable.
  8. IDK if this ref job was payback for embarrassing the Vikings last week but it felt like we weren't going to get any calls all day and that turned out to be the case. Hughes was held all day, in fact they had a great video of him with the LT actually grabbing the back of his jersey to keep him from pursuing the ball carrier it was laughable they could have called holding all day there. Not that it had much effect on the outcome of the game, we couldn't move the ball to save our lives. Couldn't catch the ball either.
  9. I just remember them making the playoffs. but that was pro with the DeBerg
  10. my goodness the knee jerk reactions..
  11. I guess Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning were ruined their rookie years too. The hot takes are indeed amusing this morning.
  12. you're talking about one game. HIs first one, i'm talking about his rookie season.
  13. I think we would be saying the same thing had we moved up for Coop or Juju. Either we pick the wrong wrs consistently or we can't get them the ball. Robert Woods comes to mind.
  14. They don't understand that line of thinking.....The last thing you want.....is another one lol. Especially a younger..dumber...more instagram-y version who subsists on likes and followers.
  15. Did he yell "keep the change" as he walked out?
  16. What's next Bob Ross the motion picture?
  17. Elway was definitely very good right out of the gate. Marino was better Kelly took off for a few years but he was killing it in the USFL I don't know how this class compares to that one we won't know for 10 years probably. Better question is how does this class compare to 2004? Manning/Rivers/Roethlisburger/bagof*icks..... Which one will be that last one? Hopefully not Allen
  18. Bull Crap that's Sam Kinnison and you know it
  19. If they went 0-16 I'd hope they lost their preseason games too. They can't lose enough to make me happy, draft picks or not.
  20. 1-15 and I'd still be pissed they won one game.
  21. as long as we see him making the right decisions with the ball and putting it where it should be I'm fine with this being a growing year. Any FA wrs that see those deep balls hitting their target regularly have to consider Buffalo.
  22. I think people are going to come around on Allen the more he plays and gets better.
  23. I would agree, also the coordinators and coaches are changing the way they coach to use those rule changes to their advantage as much as possible. But definitely better QBs especially the young ones. The old guard is getting ready to pass the torch, in 3 years Rivers/Roethlisburger/Brady/Brees/Manning will all be retired. Then you've got Rodgers/Stafford as the senior guys who walso won't play forever. I'm just glad we have one of the young up and coming QBs.
  24. The league wants exactly what we saw last night. 38-31 games. They have manipulated the rules to get what they want.
