Only because you don't want the Bills to be the Cleveland Browns and fire GM's and HC every two years.

They made the Playoffs in 2017 and so they get 2018 and 2019.

But they need an offensive consultant.

We need better players on offense.  Daboll can only do what he can with a limited playbook, a sketchy oline and no wrs getting separation.    Hell I could be an offensive consultant.    Get better on the line, get a deep threat, and get a true #1 WR.

They have 2019 and that's it.

You trot Allen out there with this "revamped" offense and he's still struggling, we're getting blown out.

    See ya McDermott and Beane.

Maybe, but I don't think so.  I think McDermott and Beane have Pegula convinced that the process is going to take a while.  I do believe that 2020 is make or break.   They had 3 years to build a culture, draft a QB, and remake the roster.

In 2019 there will be a ton of new faces starting, I don't expect everything to jell overnight.    It never does for the Bills.   And Allen was not a year and a half project.  He's not going to be much better in 2019 than he is right now.

Rosenhaus  always met with the Browns in person about Pryor fwiw

I think that is the way to go, i forget his name but the agent that represented Peters during that whole debacle, the one who never returned any calls/faxes/emails i never liked that kind of negotiation.    I don't think he's alive anymore and I don't want to talk crap about him just that technique was IMO not a good way to do business.

Exacyly Soda! This stuff isnt rocket science- young horses with a low salary for 4 years is a good recipe.

It's a position that normally has high turnover, RBs don't last so you need fresh legs, but McBeane is attacking it the opposite way, if you're under 28 he doesnt' want you on the roster.

He's going to have to get younger at RB, but I don't see the need to invest high draft capital.   Sign a free agent like Ivory again next year, draft one in the 3rd or 4th round.   Go from there.   Zeke and Barkley aren't carrying their teams to victory.   Neither is Fournette in Jacksonville.

I still think they would prefer to pay one in FA than draft one. They really  seem to prefer experienced RBs. I would prefer they draft one.

If they do, they do, I'm just saying I don't want one in the first 2 rounds.  In a passing league, where we need pass protectors, and pass catchers, investing too much in the running game is a bad idea.

The look on his face last night was- get me out of here.

Always take a young, workhorse rb rounds 3-5- another big mistake.

Kareen Hunt in KC seems to be working out well for a 3rd round pick.  I'm not sure what round Howard was drafted in Chicago but same thing.    Kamara in New Orleans wasn't a 1st rounder either.

I would think the opposite. This regime has not dedicated a single draft pick to a RB since they got here and seem to prefer older backs. I would be shocked if they did that. I would expect OL/DL at the top.

His visit coincided with Pryor’s which makes sense

They haven't had a need to draft one high because they have had McCoy.  Beane/McD prefer older veteran backups who can play special teams, but they have had McCoy so no need to look for a feature back.    Hopefully they are not looking to draft one in the first 2 rounds.  We have needs in other areas that will help the QB much more. I'd rather go with a good TE who can block and catch and OL/WR help.

We need a LT, Dawkins is not a LT on a winning team. If we can't get Bosa or Oliver, I'd love a trade down & draft an OT, then move Dawkins to RT or LG.

I want Bosa.     He's a game changing DE.   Pair him with Hughes, and Edmunds, and White and we have the makings of an elite defense.

We can go offense with every other pick in the draft for all I care, we have 9 other picks.     But that first pick, I want Bosa.

  9. I'd have done a couple different things, I'd have gone after John Sullivan in free agency instead of Bodine he'd be my starting center. I'd have jettisoned Vlad and probably gone with Teller, that or gone after Justin Pugh (who's been injured but was a solid free agent target guard).

I'd have not signed Star so I had money to sign my two olinemen.   But looking back, there was really not much we could have done with respect to the WRs, so really we would be in the exact same boat we are now.

Except for Bridgewater, I'd have signed him instead of letting him go to the Jets.    No McCarron.

  10. I learned that Ram 1500's built around or after 2012 do not use gaskets to seal their rear differential covers.   It's just some orange goop that ends up leaking after you paid 2 grand to have the axle swapped out.  And it's gonna cost another couple hundred to fix.

  11. Don't be shocked when we lose our DC this offseason.  Defense has been very good, he's worked his way up the right way and he's ready to be a head coach.    Our defense has really impressed me this year.  They never seem surprised by anything, that's solid preparation and good coaching.  The tackling has been much better IMO this year than in the past.

I used to laugh at people referring to the Bills as "we" or "us" but now I'm one of those people.  I think its a function of how much you find yourself talking about the team and basic word economy.

If you spent money on them, jerseys, tickets, memorabilia, you have a vested interest in the team, and it's your team.   so I think you can say we.
