I’m trying to discern is is saying we are one of 5 teams with offers for him?
It says expression of interest , not offers…Probably meant they rang up and enquired his desired salary range

I will contribute twice as much money as House

I like Dane better than Cam Lewis.
I think Cam Lewis is the backup for Taron at nickel …he is on practically nothing so they likely keep him-

I think they should re sign Rasul....or feel free to suggest some names still on the Fa list.
Yeah …they might … I would probably be leaning Dane Jackson though to replace Elam and onto the draft they go to replace Douglas …. A bit risky considering the last big name CB they drafted-

Ogunjobi was also released, so doesn't count.
Ok … I was wrong about that…. Looks like they are still alive then … Cooper and Rasul should qualify at the least ….-

I don't think release players count against comp pick formula, and Toohill was released. Might be wrong thought.
Right now I think only Hollins counts as FA lost and Hoecht and Palmer as FA gained.
Douglas, Cooper and Smoot could possibly helps us.
And Ogunjobi …. So three to one so far …Toohill won’t count anyway as he is a minimum type player ,,,
Could be riding on Smoot

You are probably & hopefully right.
Is it the contract they sign or does playing time & production matter? If Hollins, Clapp & Toothill all kill it & make pro bowls (highly unlikely) & our signing are all duds, (hopefully unlikely) would we gain a few picks?
The first factor as to whether they qualify is the money … they need to get around a minimum of $2.8m a year ( from memory last year )…. Haven’t seen the money yet for Clapp and Toohill but my guess would be that they will be under this figure-

We didn't think we would get anything for Settle or that Hollins would qualify; things can change
You need to have an overall loss of qualifying players though ,,.. they are going to have signed more than they lose this year ….only one they have lost so far is Hollins-

I can’t believe after 4 years of watching him people still defend him. He was awful here, he wasn’t that good his last year at Florida. He was taken on attributes and athleticism
Even Joe Marino wanted to bring him back next season !
Surely it’s in both parties interest to move on and get a fresh start ..i

I think FA might be done for us names wise. Maybe time to discuss Draft CB's and DT's?
Ok …who do you like? -

Nobody got better. Just different.
Is this what we will be saying when the Bills get Dane Jackson back ?-

He’s a move all over guy. He’s a flanker in my book. He was once the premier route running guy and the best player against man. Obviously he has slowed down a bunch, but I think he fits.
Shakir
Palmer
Kupp
Coleman
Samuel
Shavers in the Hollins role
That’s what I have in my mind. Is there a deep speed guy? Not particularly, but that’s not our offense. It’s about route running and getting open and Kupp is still one of the best imo. Despite being a slot, Shakir is really the number 1 and everyone else falls in line.
Also Kupp is not small, he’s 6-2, 205 which would make him the third biggest guy on the roster outside of Coleman and Shavers.
I’ll pass on him … not because he isn’t a good player or doesn’t have one more good year left in him …. But I’ll go the field stretching speed guy instead … or another guy in the draft with some upside that can make a difference for the next couple or years … not just 1 like KuppThe problem is that they are married to Samuel one more year … they need more from him next season … lots more

Bosa is a big fish, just have to pray he stays healthy
Not to me … he is a dice roll …they are due to get a win though … hoping for the best 👍 -
Considering they haven’t really landed a big fish … this FA has still been a bit more lively for the Bills than I anticipated …
I have found it hard to get motivated this season to do my usual draft study as I thought they would be trading those top 60 picks … that’s clearly not the case so might have to start cramming …

It sounds like a lot, but i'd be interested to see where the 5th and 6ths are that were moved.
We have the 1st pick in the 6th Round. So if we moved that for one of Dallas' comps - it really is like nothing.
Im more happier saving the $2.5m of guaranteed money tbh -
End of an era …
Glad he is gone … but Im happy Elam has a chance elsewhere actually … must have been miserable for him during his time here … Just was never the right fit

We have 3 picks in the first two rounds and knowing this team, we will draft the #2 corner there. For as long as I can remember this team loves to draft CBs early. Not saying I want that to happen but that’s what I envision
Provided they get someone competent …I’d be fine with it …get someone thaf can cover the Receiver without a 10 yard cushion so Mahomes can’t get the ball out in 1.7 seconds …Someone that can tackle would be a nice bonus too,,,, not sure that’s Samuel

Draft a DE in round 1 or 2 Then you got:
Bosa
Greg
Hoecht
Rookie
Epenesa
Not a bad 5.
As mentioned already , let’s not dismiss Solomon who still might have some upside … particularly under a new coach …I definitely want another DE with one of those early picks …so I wonder if AJE could be traded ?

Ok … that’s something I guess … they are probably going to need some type of move like this to work out to finally get them over the hump-

Cooper Kupp Released
in The Stadium Wall

Yeah … I do hate these kinda stories … the Bills seem to get linked to everybody on the market …
I heard Beane say something that they enquire about a lot of players with other teams and agents … so easy for some juorno to spin that into saying they are “interested “ when they are just doing due diligence..
