On the flip side... supposedly Milano is going to get $12m + a year... why would a team pay him this if they can just get a guy like him in the 3rd round? Arent the Bills letting him walk because they can’t afford to pay him? If he was up last year when they had more money they were probably more likely to re-sign him instead of Addison for example...

I find it interesting that Beane says Milano “ earned the right to test FA” .. correct me if I’m wrong but similar comments were made about Lawson & Phillips last year and they moved on... Since last year we have had Tre and Dion “ earn the right to get a nice contract extension and not have to test FA”... We don’t know the answer but I wonder if they have made him Milano an offer as yet.. maybe not but if they did I agree that he mustn’t have thought a lot of it ... however given how this played out with the other two last year I would say the odds of him coming back seem slim...

If Milano leaves which is seemingly likely, then why do you have an issue with replacing him even at the cost of 30? It’s a critical position in the D playing 100% of snaps...If you could get a replacement on the cheap ( rookie deal) than all good... obviously I would prefer the replacement come in the 2nd but if there is someone there that can do the job at 30... then take him... I’m not sure who the player is BTW... people suggesting Zaven Collins but I think he is more the Lorenzo role than Milano.., and probably won’t be on the field enough to justify at 30..

Looking forward to the Trent Murphy version of this.. In respect of Barkley.... we haven’t had to rely on him much the past two years... and that’s a good thing... I think they bring in another vet to compete with Fromm...

I personally don’t really care if he comes here and I would probably prefer to spend the FA money elsewhere on more pressing needs and even consider drafting a TE on Day 2...( Brevin Jordan?) ... However I think some team (Jaguars maybe?) offers Ertz more than you are speculating..... He has a ring already so I see him chasing his last big payday...

Couldn’t agree more ..people forget that a draft pick you are giving up is not this abstract thing... a 2nd round pick is a more than likely good player with hopes of turning into an above average player that you go without for 4 years

And how should we make a final determination whether more things work out then don’t work out? Perhaps we could look at the teams 13-3 record and reaching the Championship game as evidence ?
