There are a lot of names being projected around that spot like Learherwood, Eisenberg and Radunz that have some question marks in my view at the next level..: If they were great tackle prospects they wouldn’t still be there at 31.. We probably willl be having the same dilemma on who to pick at 30 if Williams walks...

Reading his comments ... It appears he wasn’t asked to take a pay cut .. He says him and his agent” weren’t given a heads up” about being cut... If Beane says... take a pay cut or you will be cut... that’s a pretty big heads up...

Why should all the systems benefit the poorly managed teams (like draft & schedule)? You develop a good player that you have to let go to another team ... I dont see the issue in getting a mid round pick in return

Not saying I dont see the value in the player, but I dont see it this offseason.. Unless they want to get lucky and fill all their holes in the draft...but I dont think thats Beane's style Time will tell and I have been wrong plenty of times before though

l will be gobsmacked if they spend $10Mil on a WR this free agency period... Draft or Bargain Basement $2-3M guy looking to play in a WR friendly offense on a 1 year deal is I suspect where they head..

Its hard to argue with what you are saying, however I think you need to consider this years cap reduction/situation as a a one off and something that they didnt forsee happening... We know the situation with the available cap space today, even after a couple of more obvious cuts and restructures that have already happened.. they dont have a lot to play with and they have some holes to fill in what we expect (hope) is a year that they will be contending for the championship... so I think they need to free up a bit more money for this free agency period... I'd be ok with restructuring a couple of guys to push a bit of money into the next couple of years.. there might be quite a large increase in the cap next year , so roll the dice whilst JA is still cheap...

Not sure Eskridge will be there in Round 5... But Id be on board with that..

On the flip side.. he had several big plays taken away by the refs.. But I get your point... he is not a No 2 yet... hopefully can continue to grow...

On the D they need Milano replacement, Murphy upgrade and maybe CB2 as well... Think they need a few more restructures as $15M wont get you far even in this market...

I suspect they might be looking to the draft for that...unless someone like John Ross wants to sign a 1 yr deal on the cheap...

Out of interest... what do you like about him? Can’t say he is on my radar... but only 27... He is earning minimum money at the Colts who signed him to a 1 yr $1.2M deal after his rookie contract so that doesn’t say a lot...
