Thanks for agreeing with me... You are asking us to discuss the merits of two hypothetical situations that are both extreme when we have no idea what wide receivers are signed in free agency and what other needs the team will have at that time..to say this is difficult is an understatement..

Spain is solid and you can’t have a superstar at every position.... his pass protection is good but agree run blocking is average at best.. My perception is that Beane, McD and JA like him and my off season FA prediction is he signs a 3 yr deal around $18- 20M.. that would mean Long is gone and gets replaced by an early Day 3 pick... Also think they go with Ford and Nsekhe at RT in 2020 again..Hopefully Ford breaks through..

No chance .. if they are signing a Guard in FA in 2020 it will be Spain for about 40% of that ( on a per year basis)

No doubt he might want more, but given his injury history, any multi year deal he is offered will likely have no guaranteed money beyond the first year, so he may as well roll the dice on a one year deal and hope for an injury free year and decent numbers in 2020. to push up gis value in 2021..

Im questioning whether they are going to sign guys at $18M to $20M a year.... It seems contrary to what Beane says.. although he has been known to not always practice what he preaches....

Its hard to rate after one year - particularly the later picks, but there is reason to be optomistic.. I think the last three drafts look good...

Im not necessarily saying they should, but they could sign Hooper (whom I would prefer to Henry) if they wanted.. He would probably be around $10Mil per year and would be an upgrade on Kroft who would be let go .( saving $5M per year).. I agree though that Ngakoue seems a bit of a pipe dream...

I would be guessing Green signs a 1 yr deal around $13M

I will also admit to not being too enthusiastic about Singletary when they picked him in the third.. Was hoping they were going to pick TE Jace Sternberger who went the next pick to the Packers... he has been underwhelming to say the least...
