Lot of people are mentioning about all these picks in the 5th and 6th not making the team.. Thats maybe true, but their trade value is limited ... Picks 155, 167, 188, 201 and 207 have a combined value of about 90 points on the draft chart which is around the value of Pick 103... Given that they have done Ok drafting in the later rounds , I'd rather they throw a few darts and see if they can get a hit or three..

Their third (Pick 86) would get you from 22 to 18-19.. a bit below your target area... He might go this if they are super keen on a guy still there and to get ahead of Eagles.. I would be surprised if he gave up more to move up for a WR but I'll wait and see... Dont forget the pick he traded to move up for Edmunds was 65...

There are no guarantees with Receivers in the draft even with these Top 3... I recall hype about other receivers being drafted way high in previous drafts.. Corey Davis comes immedaitely to mind but Im sure we could find others without too much trouble.. If you are talking about moving up from 22 to around 10-13, the cost is too high.. Beane wont be giving up next years first or his 2nd this year to do that

Just trade for Diggs . at least we know what we have and in terms of draft capital, will be cheaper than moving up to these dizzy levels...

I personally don’t care about the extra playoff teams , but why don’t people want 17 regular season games and two byes? Get rid of two garbage preseason games and have two extra weeks of the regular season.. I’m not seeing the problem.. You could give every team a bye before their Thursday game and remove that unfair burden that those teams have to carry..

Cleveland have a lot of divas on that team..

Bills Super bowl window is open for business in 2020 with JA, Tre, Dawkins and others still on rookie deals.. I think it’s now time to be bringing in established difference makers like Diggs where they have a need at the position.. Beane seems to have a reasonable eye for talent in the draft but you are rolling the dice with picks 22 and 54 and and you will probably need to have some patience with the results ... I could see him trading that Pick 22 ... not necessarily only for Diggs but for someone that is going to come in and make an immeadiate difference..

He might want to play for a winner though next season... I would be all in on Diggs... Pick 54 won’t get it done though.. What about giving them 22 and getting 89 back from them in change? At least that puts us ahead of the bottom feeders at the top of the 2nd like Bengals and Dolphins..

I Am a fan of Mims, but only if there in the 3rd... Pick him there even if they have already picked a WR earlier..

So what happened after 2014? Revisit his drafts in 15-16 for a laugh...

Thanks for taking the time to do this.. I think Detroit is going to sell that No 3 pick for a kings ransom... more than you have indicated.. ( that’s provided they don’t want Tua themselves).. I hope Higgins is not the pick in Round 1.... I think there is a chance the Bills trade this pick for an established WR..

I’ll never claim that the draft is an exact science.. If he has Ford rated higher on his board then the WR’s remaining then he should pick him.

Ford was pretty much considered a first round talent by the majority of the so called draft experts..literally all the guys on nfl:com had him going between 17 to 30 in their final mocks..I don’t recall a lot of criticism at the time after the pick here or in the media.. Yes, after 1 year it looks like he should have picked someone else at that spot and the likes of the WR’s you mention fit the bill.. I still think Ford has the potential to live up to where he was picked though, and if he goes on to be a starter over the rest of his rookie deal and hopefully signs a second contract, it won’t turn out to be “bad”..

I got a feeling that his next contract is going to be on another team in 2021... Hope that does motivate him to keep playing hard this year..

Interesting that this thread has caused some spirited debate... Although it’s probably the first real player related confirmed news of the off season though so that probably explains why.. Lots of FA decisions remaining in respect of players to keep or let leave, and new players to sign... Going to be a good month ahead..
