If he signs a new deal the cap hit for 2022 can be less than the current 5th year number... this is what happened with Mahomes

Allens 5th year option is $23m in 2022 He might sign a new deal in the meantime but doubt that cap hit increases ...

This was the issue I had as well.... and led to me feeling some frustration when they selected Basham ... I guess to get the “twitchy” guy you describe though you need to be picking Top 5 or spending $16m + a year in free agency so it appears unlikely that Buffalo will be doing either of those the next few years

Lamp hasn’t shown much at the Chargers either hence why the Bills picked him up for a bottom of the barrel deal... Boettger is probably a bigger possibility to beat out Ford.. In respect of Williams...I hope he plays like he did last year and sees out his contract... certainly good value and they have been looking for a good RT for a while...
