Cheaper deal than I was expecting …. There must be some pressure on a young guy who was picked late Day 3 , and earned practically nothing over three years , to take the $40-50m guaranteed … Find a guy in the draft now for the other side …

They will both end up on a team … they have no doubt over valued themselves … I thought some of the projections for Cooper at $15m a year was comedy gold even in this inflated market …

This is both a realistic and highly possible strategy …. I see no chance that Beane patiently sits there from 62 to 109 twiddling his thumbs ..its highly probable he moves up into the third … Another possibility is a trade up in the second 10 spots or so in return for a move back from second to third with the other second round pick…maybe they do this to make sure they secure a CB they want in the second …

I’m waiting until after the draft …I suspect that they draft a WR in rounds 2-4 …so that probably closes the door on Cooper.. they might take two CBs in the draft this year … but say they only take one then maybe Douglas is still some hope … I don’t think he is playing on a Brandon Beane $2mil special if that’s the expectation…. Maybe $3m might get it done

I’ll tell you pretty simply what my argument is . He could have asked for and received $65m a year from the Bills and no one would have really blinked an eye… He has played for $10m a year less ..: I’m not saying that makes him some type of matyr or anything …but no doubt it will help them out …
