I think Beane is back shopping if Bates walks…he has $2.3 M to spend if he doesn’t have to pay this to Bates which is probably enough to sign two more bargain bin types like this guy…

I understand the Browns only paid his $1M roster bonus a few days ago which is seperate to his salary… As to why he agreed to come to Buffalo for less money… perhaps at this stage of his career he is looking to be on a team that can win the championship… also he figures he may be able to sign again at Buffalo in 2023 if things go well…

I agree that you would always want a more verstile player... but the question is who is still available and how much... Im sure Crowder's cap hit will be minimal this year.. he should be a value for money signing if he stays on the field

"Up to $4M" probably means a cap hit of $2.25M... I think Beane has made some great moves this offseason... Guess it helps though having JA and the way he played the back part of the season... Crowder is a quality player that Josh can utilise to the fullest off his talent... Obviously his injury history is the question mark but fingers crossed there... still only 28

Barkley jumped the shark when he was here the last time… I don’t want him anywhere near the field on game day… If he wants to work a gazillion hours doing film study and other leg work that Davis Webb did from the practice squad then I’m fine with that… And what “trade bait” is Keenum going to get you anyway? He just went for a 7th and Cleveland had to tip in some money to make that work…

Cant really argue with that.. but if Josh is out more than a "few games"... ( 3 or 4 maximum maybe?) then I dont think it matters... Ultimately I think we can only go as far as Josh Allen takes us in the pursuit of a chamionship

Did the Bills ever sign any of his draft picks to a second contract? Not counting 2017 as I dont think he was making those picks as he was out the door the day after the draft... I will agree that some of his FA moves worked out.. some didn't ( Charles Clay for one as I previously mentioned..)

I liked him coming out of college .,but no chance they should part with a 4th… they found Gave Davis in the 4th so don’t under estimate that value for a roll of the dice chance that Shenault can turn it around… 6th would be the most I would like to see them offer to find out…

This signing looks like it’s vintage Beane.. Got the Browns to pay his $1m bonus for the cost of a 7th and at $3.5m Keenan is good value ..assume he might be chasing a ring also.. Hopefully he won’t see the field in meaningful action just like Mitch ..apart from Week 18 when they have clinched home field… but if Josh misses a couple of games Case might be a chance of getting us a win… Well done Beane.,,
