Just in relation to the draft only …I thought that in comparison to last year, there seemed to be a lot more interest around which receiver(s) would be drafted with plenty of good candidates available in what was thought to be a deep class to choose from
Or he just shows up and plays which i think is still the likely option
I don’t see him giving up $5m this year … it’s more money he has made so far than in his career
If you are going to franchise him TWICE you may as well just pay him … the guaranteed money will probably work out less
It’s not nothing …it’s something…
But it’s not much …
Still think he is playing out his last year here and collecting that $5m which is more than he has earned his first 3 years here ..
Just read the reactions on Patsfan forums … think it’s fair to say that the trade return has left them a little disappointed….the 5th is a comp pick so not really much improvement on their original pick for him ,,,,
Guess he sits behind Dak now …
When it comes to Rasul … I can’t recall the last Bills player before him that I went from really liking to going absolutely stone cold on within the space of less than a season…
He really lived that cliche of turning 30 and falling off the proverbial cliff…
What was the number for Gabe? $5m a year ?
My thoughts on Cook ( which are worth the same as anyone else’s - not much) are that he plays out the year and moves on ..
Cheaper deal than I was expecting ….
There must be some pressure on a young guy who was picked late Day 3 , and earned practically nothing over three years , to take the $40-50m guaranteed …
Find a guy in the draft now for the other side …
They will both end up on a team … they have no doubt over valued themselves … I thought some of the projections for Cooper at $15m a year was comedy gold even in this inflated market …
This is both a realistic and highly possible strategy …. I see no chance that Beane patiently sits there from 62 to 109 twiddling his thumbs ..its highly probable he moves up into the third …
Another possibility is a trade up in the second 10 spots or so in return for a move back from second to third with the other second round pick…maybe they do this to make sure they secure a CB they want in the second …
