Heard on Sirius Korean/Miller that AD is basically uncoachable. He has diabetes a d does not manage it well which causes some issues with his mood

Not sure who Sirius Korean Miller is … but he sounds a little over the top

Yeah I heard him say that …guess that’s fine for looking to find a partner to move up two spots in Round 1 for  a fourth … if you are secretly in love with one of the Top 3, than I would have thought  moving most of this years and next years quality draft assets to move up to the Top 10 might be a more serious consideration than beginning discussions 2-3 days beforehand…

    I understand!

My point is that it shows Beane is willing to trade back if the circumstances are right.   He said he had a great trade-back he really liked on tap if it hadn't worked out to get Dalton Kincaid.

Clearly he has a track record of trading up in the 1st round - I spelled it all out here.   TL;DR in the last 5 years, he's traded up 2x, stood pat 2x, and swapped for a player (Diggs) once.

Im hoping he trades down this year..partly because I agree it’s a myth that he won’t do it … so would be good to put that to bed

The Bills are more likely to trade down from 28 and take Legette, than to get him at 60.  I really don't expect them to trade up from 60 to do it.

Im not ruling out a big trade up in the second ..it’s my preferred move they make this year … get on the phone to the Commanders to move up and get a third as well

I hope. Lots of reports have him inching into the late first round right now. It's a risk in my opinion. Especially if the juicy WR's are largely off the board.

Meh … I’ve seen a couple … most notably Brugler got him at 32 on his board ..

Most I see have still got him mid second at best

They target arm length and wingspan at the position. Groot and AJ were in the top 3 DE's in that category, both in the high 80 and 90th percentile in that category. It wasn't by some accident.

Kneeland is this year and they already hosted him for a visit in Buffalo. So as much as I would also hate this pick I don't think it's very far fetched. We have shown it's a position we will invest heavily in. We have need. We have shown interest in Kneeland and his profile is similar to two players we drafted prior. Don't shoot the messenger.

It’s possible they can take him later right?
He will be there a bit.. like AJ ended up

If Marshawn Kneeland is available round 1 I think that is who we will pick and it's going to piss a lot of people off. Beane just doesn't seem to value WR's at a high rate.

It will piss me off because I don’t think he is a first round talent

It definitely came across pretty authentic if you watch the whole interview and I think it’s because he knows for a team to move back to 28 is going to cost a lot as teams won’t have a lot of interest to move back that far, if any at all.

Yes ..-I  watched the interview … I got the feeling he doesn’t want to give up the 1 next year .., which would presumably remove any possibility of a Top 10 trade up…

I’m pretty certain Beane knows the price, and he isn’t paying it, just sayin.

Yes .. like I said above … he ain’t getting there without giving up his 1 in 2025 which he didn’t seem happy about doing

2022 draft the move definitely would have been to trade back and take two day 2 swings at CB rather than trade up and force it for Elam (and still take Benford in 6th!)

Could have gone Cam Taylor Britt with the trade back 2nd rounder, kept the 4th and taken Tariq Woolen, and taken Benford as a CB with potential to move over to safety. We'd be rich in CB's right now...

This is about as loaded of a WR draft as that draft was at CB, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to trade back a little and take two on day 2 and another sleeper value on day 3 (Jalen Coker type)

I think if he takes two WR Day 2… then I hope they are both Top 50…

No we shouldn't have to "try and make do".  Beane needs to earn his keep, he sent Diggs packing, bring someone in.

It seems like the top tier are too expensive - J Jeff and B Aiyuk but there are other options.   D Metcalf/C Godwin/DHop.

If Beane doesn't do something of this magnitude (which includes a massive move up for one of the big 3) then this, IMO, is a historically bad year over year on-paper drop.

He has definitely got some work to do … I’m pretty confident that he has a plan to get two good receivers to replace Diggs and Davis …

If he doesn't.. they are taking a step back in 2024 …

I know people aren’t going to like it but as we get closer my gut feeling is telling me it’s going to be Keon Coleman after a trade down. There is a lot there that fits Buffalo and their philosophy

I don’t see it personally… I wouldn’t mind him trading down .. but I don’t think he does and even less chance of them taking Coleman with their first pick… could get him at 60 as I think be is still there

Who knows for sure what's going on with him but I wouldn't be surprised if he is just feeling some stress or burnout from the team not meeting expectations.  The Bills have been through a lot the last two seasons.  But I do notice some differences in his demeanor and what he says in his press conferences now compared to a couple years ago.  One thing I like about Beane is his accountability as he does own up to mistakes he's made in the past.  I'm sure it takes a toll on him.

I like Beane .. But I think by his standards he has made a few bad calls over the past 2 years … perhaps he is feeling a bit of heat .. or it’s just the demands he puts on himself ..

I believe it because he fits the Bills "type" at WR.

The rumors were that they liked Addison and JSN a lot last year and did a lot of work on both guys. Now this year, we're hearing Franklin, McConkey, and Worthy.

All of these guys are smaller, faster, quicker route technician types. Just as, to some extent, John Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, and Stefon Diggs all were.

I actually don't think it's a smokescreen at all. I think the Bills brass has more or less decided that Josh seems to do better with fast guys that run good routes than with big-bodied jump ball types.

I think Franklin is a very real possibility for the Bills come draft weekend.

Yes he does fit their type …as do others …

However Ive heard a few people now go beyond the logic ( pardon the pun ) of him being a good fit .and moving on to claiming they have heard from “insiders “ that he is their guy …

I would be very surprised if more than half a dozen people would know what the Bills really think at this stage of proceedings… and I don’t think any of them are going to be blabbing to Pat Moran from Talking Buffalo podcast ..unless they want it out there …

I think Polk is a safe floor guy. He is going to play in this league and be a starting receiver. The upside is what I question a tad. He reminds me a bit of Alec Pierce who went to the Colts a couple of years ago in the second. Probably a better route runner. Doesn't quite have Pierce's size. He is a bit lacking after the catch for my money and while I don't think his top speed is terrible he doesn't get to it quickly.

I think if you are double dipping and going like a Worthy for example then Polk in the 2nd... I like what you have as a compliment of skills there. If we only took one and it was Polk in the second I think you have an upgrade on Gabe Davis. But you don't have a true #1 IMO.

I got Polk pegged around 50-65… so if the Bills got him with their second pick I wouldn’t be complaining…  ideally it’s after a double dip…

I probably agree that’s it’s unlikely he becomes an No 1 … however If you get a guy in that range are you expecting him to  become be a No 1 ?  Of course it’s nice for it to happen but not sure it should be the expectation…

On the other hand … I have heard Beane say he “wants football players not athletes” .. but I don’t think he practices what he preaches looking at a lot of their Top 100 picks …  They seemed to go against type last year with Torrence at the end of the second ..who wasn’t much of an athletic freak… and what do you know … looks like they have found themselves a football player
