They are cash strapped so moving on from Morse could be an option iMO … he ain’t getting any younger .. If they go the other way and keep Morse 1 more year ..then Bates actually has some trade value in my view … he can start at a variety of positions and his contract value is low for two years … Poyer may stay anither year given the Safety room is bare and they love having a veteran in every position group … I would have liked them to replace him this year to be honest … Harty has been one of the biggest disappointments of the season and is gone

I am providing a solution … move up 2-4 spots in the first …If someone is available and they have a trade partner … there are no guarantees with the draft even with your solution of giving up a second round pick and moving up with that Also expect another Harty type signing or two in FA … no money for anything else .. Well… Firstly I’m trying to predict what Beane will do and what will actually happen rather then what I would do which is meaningless … Based on my observations of how they have drafted previously and what the roster situation is this year and lack of FA money … I don’t think they are going to give up a second round pick to move up a 6-8 spots in the first round They might give a third or fourth and move up 2-4 spots to get someone they like if a player they like is still available AND they have a trade partner …

I don’t think they are giving up a second … I’ll be surprised if they do it … particularly in 2024 where the money for FA is pretty dry

They are likey to only be bringing Diggs and Shakir back … so they require some decent WR pieces next year from somewhere… if they get value for the picks then I don’t have a problem with the double dip … big if though. Knox has got one year left given his contract and then I expect they will be trading him …
