Yea I think Von is done.

So what’s the plan then to replace him ?

Find a scrub that’s left  in FA ? Or just hope he comes good?

The Bills had Kneeland in for a  visit … and I don’t think he was there to provide some intel on the other Western Michigan prospects … he has got to be in play with their second …..looks like he is not going to last that long … but they  are still going to have a hole to fill if you are right ..

In Beane takes him at 28..he has officially jumped the shark

I thought the Bills would consider him which started a string of hate which picked up well in this thread. It's not uncommon for him to be mocked in the late first at this point. As I said in my other post he has physical traits in his arm length and wingspan that we clearly covet given our selection of AJ and Groot.  It just wouldn't shock me if they feel he has a first round grade.  Hoping we don't see this as well and I'm a WMU grad.

I was  dismissive of your opinion .. but he is certainly a late riser…

I still haven’t convinced myself he will be a first round pick yet …. but i could see him now going early 2nd….

I hate it. I have a 5th round grade on Kneeland. He sucks.

If the Bills take him it would tell people all you need to know about Miller … You wrote him off before the end of the last season right …?

Any chance Shakir can become the 1/x receiver? Is he that far of Diggs's traits and ability?

Shakir is probably better than a lot of people thought he was going to be … but Diggs at his best was a Top 5 WR … pretty sure Shakir is not going to be close to those levels …

Few things need to happen. Get a number 1 wr in the draft, sign a vet like DJ Chark as the number 2(the real number 2 is samuel in the slot), get a safety and von back to form.  I actually don't think this too much of an ask.

I agree that what you have listed is what is required … I wouldn’t say it’s an easy road ahead … but it’s also not impossible to achieve either ,,,

Draft 2 WR’s early or 1 + trade for one …. I think the Safety options Round 4 should be ok to patch something together this season…

DE is a concern … but they have just spent a few days eyeballing Miller so they should have a better idea than us how he is tracking … Still wouldn’t mind a guy in the draft …and the options aren’t great …

Again, I'm realistic. They are going into the draft with 5 massive holes, and I don't see a realistic scenario where they get more than 3 starting caliber players. There's no chance that they aren't starting someone who doesn't belong as a starter on even a terrible team, let alone one that says they hope to win. They'll never admit to it being a rebuild year, but it absolutely is.

Holes ..like replacing the corpses of Hyde and Poyer  last year …? Safety is the least of my worries …

But look… if they aren’t walking away with 2 good WR prospects this time  next week ,,,I’ll be the first to agree with you …

But I just can’t see that they have walked away from Diggs with no plan to replace him and Davis immediately…. Pegula wouldn’t have agreed to it otherwise ..he has got PSLs to sell, and a crap team wont help that ..

No, I don’t feel we will be as good this year as in previous years…

But I don’t necessarily don’t think that’s a bad thing…We are in a mini rebuild, despite what the organization might say…And I feel this is a 2 year rebuild …👍

Bad time to be rebuilding when Pegs has got a lot of PSLs to sell

I'm not pessimistic - I'm realistic. If we had Roquan Smith, TJ Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick and AJ Brown, I'd have us penciled in as favorites. Unfortunately we don't have a receiver that's ever hit 1k yards, don't have a pass rushers that's ever hit double digit sacks (besides the empty husk of Von miller), and we easily have the worst safety duo in the league right now.

History has been on my side every year for 3 straight. Let's re-check the tally at the end of this season and see how far blind optimism gets you.

You are pessimistic… they haven’t even been through the draft yet …

Also … what do you mean “the last three years ? You trying to say they weren’t a SB contender over that period ?

I'm more comfortable with the offense because we have Josh Allen and a cadre of very good skill players. We did fine the last half of the year with Diggs and Davis providing less than they had in any of their previous years. We've already proven we can win without Diggs, and without much contribution from Davis. I think Brady will find ways of making this offense more effective. I do think there will be some growing pains, but in the end: Josh.

Davis and particularly Diggs mightn’t have had the production over the back half of test season  … but I’m sure they were still the focus of the opposing defence … Currently that focus wil bee moving to  Shakir and Samuel

We'll be fortunate to be in playoff contention as the roster currently stands, imo. We would need a series of miracles to get into the super bowl conversation that involves season ending injuries to Mahomes and Burrow, drafting OROY and DROYs like Houston did, staying healthy and having all of our top players play great, and then having probably 2 current players on the roster take monumental leaps up to all-pro status (Kincaid, Epenesa?)

At the end of all that, would it be enough to top the best of the NFC?

    Doubt it.

It’s unlike you to have a pessimistic outlook …

I don’t think it requires a “ series of miracles “… find 2 receivers ..and an edge … before Week 1…

If 1 of those teams wants a QB next year / doesn’t get 1 they like this year…they could.

Cardinals should absolutely do it. Kyler is a bum.

The Cardinals can get a QB anyway next year without dealing with us .., they will be picking in the Top 3 again

Disagree.  Any of the top 3 WR’s have the potential to be immediate top 10 players at the position with Allen.

MHJ has the work ethic and drive.  He said his goal is to be the best WR to ever play.

I don’t expect it to happen, and I’ll likely be excited about whoever we end up taking…

    but I would trade 28, 2025 1st, 2nd, 2nd to get one of them.  & I’d add for MHJ

Maybe Josh can elevate the No 4 and 5 receiver as well..

I’ll pass on givng up all that thanks  …Moot point anyway … A team isn’t moving down out of the Top 10 for essentially picks in 2025 ..: they are a Top 10 team for a reason and need help now ..

You would absolutely hate it too come next year .. and not have any draft picks to fantasise over
