Monos comments about the Shaq Lawson pick on his watch We wanted a DE …( sounds similar to a criticism of Beane being position focused) , that was a bad draft in general ( excuse making) Shaq was our best option ( apart from Chris Jones lol), Shaqs deal was he came in and needed surgery straight away… ( they knew about it apparently but medical guys don’t always know their stuff) , Shaq wasn’t the best in shape …. Yeah … maybe he shouldn’t be criticising anyone else .,..

I expect them to improve to improve WR room … but in a more modest fashion … perhaps Slayton whom you mention is a likely candidate… or a second round pick , …they will probably convince themselves that Samuel will be an injury free difference maker , and both Kincaid and Coleman will improve …. What they decide here won’t be influenced byCook who will be put on hold another year … Decisions on other extensions will need to be made though …

They aren’t going to sign and pay Higgins to be a bit player at the “everybody eats “ dining table … i can’t see him choosing to be a part of that either when he will have other options

Joe will be back in Buffalo next year when the Giants let him go … dead man walking this year

The dynasty dreams are looking like they are gone … 2024 is looking like an opportunity missed … Would like to see McBeane make a move in 2025 … because they aren’t going anywhere at least until 2027

I would class these picks overall as below average … Oliver was a Top 10 pick , and the other DTs that went later in the first round were better ….so you could say they missed here .. He is not a disaster by any means and is probably paid according to his abilities … he had a great 2023 …and for the first time this year …he showed up in the playoffs …. still …we need more as you say from what might be the only Top 10 guy they will have In the JA era .. AJE - I really hate that they drafted him and made him drop weight …. Pick someone else if you gotta change the guy …rotational guy at Pick 54 ? Wouldn’t say it’s a win… Rousseau .. yep the best guy on the list …. Didn’t make a murmur in the biggest game of the year though …no A grade from me …solid B+ though .. if they land a big name in the offseason … I think they chose not to pay him and let him go… Elam- not even worth commenting on Kincaid - the most disappointing guy on the team in 2024..in hindsight a luxury pick for Dorsey’s scheme …still too early to close the book …but needs a big improvement in 2025 Coleman …. Not the pick I would have made… but I did see some potential before the injury ….he has got a long way to go though to justify the pick … Well..that’s my opinion for what that’s worth ( exactly nothing ) …. Hoping for better moving forward … 😎

Im assuming they “defer to the scouts “ and trust the board on the Day 3 picks where they have had some more success

Ok… that’s fair …👍 I think the drafting history/results are open to questions and criticism …very few former insiders are going to speak publicly about such matters though …so when one does it’s interesting …

Just because Monos is disgruntled…doesn’t mean what he is saying is incorrect ..

They need to be finding a way to give themselves the best chance to win it all in 2025 ….They have just gone very close, and the Chiefs look more vulnerable than they have in the Mahomes era … Put some chips on the table Beane …

Im not banking on the Bills getting Garrett or Crosby either … likely at least one of them will stay with their current team .. so he other one will have a long list of suitors… Tell me …are you confident of the guys they draft for the D Line moving the needle much in Year 1 ? Likely they will need some time to find their feet …. I would feel better if they can bring in an experienced guy from somewhere, even if they miss out on the two big dogs .. Also…I’m looking for a WR to replace Cooper … so they are not quite set on O..

It’s something we will never know the answer too… but I suspect that people will be crying over BTJ for years to come …

I made the same argument myself about a week ago to those asking why the Bills didn’t trade up for BTJ,, The response I got was the Bills should have “overpaid” to force through the trade ….its such an easy argument to make a full season removed from the draft .., There were others saying pre draft that the Bills should have given up multiple firsts and seconds to move into the Top 10 to trade for Odunze…. They haven’t been back to give us an update on that hypothetical trade …

What the Eagles do against them isn’t as important to me as what the Bills do against them …every year in the playoffs… At the very least ..Im hoping this latest beat down demonstrates to the Bills that they are not some unstoppable juggernaut … Im actually expecting the Ravens to be the team standing in the Bills way next season …its interesting…their fans expect to be trying to get Garrett next year too…

I think Tyler Bass is a regular reader here …I understand he took a lot from the positive words of encouragement posted here when he was struggling with his kicking earlier in the season

He still has another two years on his rookie deal ….so they don’t need to worry about his next deal just yet,,, He wasn’t as good this year as last year, and someone has got to be the weakest link …. The other 4 starters are all in their late 20s at least and grizzly gets…. Let’s see if Cybo starts thinking about making some real money and lifts his game over the next two years ..
