Recruitment?
Sure, HR is critical too. We need the workforce, with the training, knowledge and development.

So you can never have enough? Why not make the DOD budget $2 trillion then? We're discussing the utility of the matter, not a general platitude.
It isn't about enough; it's about having the most advanced and most current systems.

For people that are hell bent on insisting trump is the most peaceful president in history, and hate wasteful spending, you sure are happy about the ballooning numbers in military recruitment. Hypocrite much?
peace through strength
it's been this way for my entire life

I’m beginning to doubt these people were ever deported. Deep state lies.
Do I have these numbers correct? There have been 30 judicial blockades for 100,000 deportations under Trump and zero for 20 million deportations under Clinton, Bush and Obama? And Trump's follows a Biden administration that allowed 10, 20 or 30 million cross the border.
What has changed?

When the rest of the world calls us "Dumb Americans", it's legitimate and for a reason. Because it's mainly true.
Reminds of something Senator Al Simpson from my great State of Wyoming once said (while in quotes, it might not be exact), "we have two parties in America, one is stupid and one is evil. I belong to the stupid party".

The rich Republicans support it because it will allow them to take or buy up distressed assets from the middle class for pennies on the dollar enriching themselves further while making the rest of the country poorer. And when you are poorer and figuring out how to live day to day, you don't have the energy to fight against oppressors...at least not for a long time.
I hate to burst your bubble, but this is about economic class, not which party one belongs to

I don't care if Abrego-Garcia is a wonderful father of the year candidate or a degenerate gang member. Or a little bit of both.
He should not have been deported to El Salvador. He should be brought back. In ICE custody. Everything else is noise that avoids the point.
If he would be brought back, he would probably be redeported to another country. Today, the US can't simply go back into El Salvador and get him. It's more complicated than that.

Or the inverse, which seems more on point here:
Trumpists want to lower corporate taxes and substitute regressive consumer taxes in the form of tariffs.
All economists except Peter Retarrdo have already told them, over and over again.
corporate taxes are regressive consumer taxes

The problem with getting out is knowing when to get back in. I think it was Buffet that said that. Warren, not Jimmy.
timing when to get in and out isn't a proven strategy for most. But Trump ran on changing the world economic order. Then Trump got elected. You shouldn't have been surprised. Another tip for you, if you have Pfizer, I'd sell it.

Agree or disagree with the tariffs, Trump clearly telegraphed his intentions and provided investors with enough lead time to act. So anybody licking their wounds from losing part of their 401/IRA had ample warning to adjust their investments by selling and parking the proceeds in cash to ride it out or by adding some downside insurance, to hedge, to mitigate the risk of loss. If they did nothing it's their own fault they lost money. That said, I expect nobody wants to hear that message.
apparently, Joe didn't see it coming

Biden's spending to "address covid" went on well into 2022 and perhaps 2023.

One got invaded and agreed to a ceasefire. The other started the war and can’t seem to stop bombing schools like target practice.
Both sides, sounds familiar.
The funny thing is that both regimes are, and have been, corrupt and evil as hell. There has also been a civil war ongoing in the Dunbas region of Ukraine for over a decade, involving a pro russia side vs a pro independence side. Ukraine has been active the entire time, supporting the pro independence side. Bad shyt has been happening in the Dunbas region by both parties. Then there was a Russo - Ukrainian War which began in 2014.
It's unfortunate that we can no longer have factual and historic discussions about the long conflict between the two without, today, being labeled as supporting Putin or Russia, simply by pointing out Ukraine's historical involvement.
And of course outside of this conflict, Ukraine has historically been one of the most corrupt countries in the world during this same period.
It's easy to not like either

Why the 25% tariffs then on Canada?
Your question suggests that you think Trump wants to take Canada down. Do you really think that's his goal? That's fine, I guess. We'll disagree

Okay, but you realize that China is less isolated than ever now?All we’ve done is harm our OWN trade with China. China will seek trade elsewhere with countries willing to do business.
Additionally, we’ve greatly harmed our relationships with our allies abroad, so they are much less likely to do business with us. Why would they?
First of all, I'm not defending what Trump is doing, but rather opining on what I believe his end game is.
Why hasn't China already seeked trade with other countries?

The alternative would be to have to believe that 75 countries all thought he was bluffing, and when they actually dropped, they panicked and called him. Then in good faith, he paused them. That didn't actually happen, and we all know it. If he really had the upper hand, he would have held firm, and forced them to make a quicker deal. This is extremely time sensitive. They were dumping bonds like they were on fire.
the truth is probably somewhere in the middle

Trumps goal is obvious, to me anyways. His goal is to take down China, not everyone else.
