  1. Wow. Our degrees of separation are so surprisingly small.
  2. Perhaps. I also think there's a strong argument that social media is the devil regarding relationships.
  3. pursuit of happiness... I want fishing protected I want camping protected I want youth baseball protected I want apple pie protected
  4. Your argument applies to everything. Everything. Fundamental rights fellas!
  5. Do you have a constitutional right for your erectile dysfunction? Let the FDS deal with this.
  6. It included a provision to override the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. It was a gotcha bill. It also allows non FDA approved birth control. The very idea that contraception is or should be a legislated right is ridicuous. The right of free speech The right to bear arms The right to due process The right to trial by jury The right to contraception We've gone nuts
  7. He is the Gov. I am aware that he and Florida gave Disney $578 Million in tax breaks to relocate offices out of California to Florida. That's what good Govs do.
  8. What has Desantis done to Disney?
  9. I thought the answer was obvious, but some needed to hear it again
  10. It's important to note that this map measures generated energy as opposed to consumed energy. California, for example, prides itself on data such as this. Guess who is the largest "consumer" of the energy generated in the Rocky Mountains?
  11. Not all states with background check laws require that all sales be checked. But nonetheless, the majority of all sales in the US go through a background check. The post I responded to said otherwise.
  12. Federal law requires background checks.
  13. You mean your side? All I said is perhaps you were right. Are you a man?
  14. It seems trans are owning lots of women, perhaps you're right. You're a man?
  15. Wouldn't those that support the government doing what they are doing to private business be the communists?
  16. The issue isn't about Twitter, or any other media platform, it's about what our government has and is doing to try to influence and control what media platforms print or allow. I'm sympathetic to Twitter, Facebook and other media platforms. Having the govt opining what should or shouldn't be allowed is a tough spot for 'em. The problem, as I see it, is the government's attempts to monitor, influence and restrict our press and free speech.
  17. Both can be true. Taibbi acknowledged the mistakes Hasan found and he corrected them.
  18. LOL Did you just respond to a post claiming 100% error, with one that is 100% in error.
  19. The role of govt since our inception. Actions and reactions, and reactions to those reactions. You just don't like what ELECTED representatives decide. Sorry, that's how it's worked for like, ever.
  20. Public schools are the government. Parent's elect their representatives, both legislative and school board. Good faith discussions are a part of the democratic process and people are electing their representatives based on those discussions (campaigns). It sounds to me the process is occurring just as you describe, and you just don't like the result. School employees have never had the final say. public input has always existed. There have always been boundaries. Over the past decade, our govt employees at schools have pushed the envelope. Citizens have reacted to that. And here you are reacting to that reaction. Democracy is working.
  21. The will of the people should decide. You anti democracy? How should it work?
  22. Certain books have always, always not been available in grade school libraries. This isn't something new. 10 yrs ago we relied on common sense to make that determination. It's a shame that we need laws today.
