  1. I tend to be kind to Josh, not because he's young, but because the guys around him on that side of the ball need to improve in so many ways. I can't blame all of the offensive woes on one guy.
  2. Most offenses have at least one turnover per game. That's part of the game. The problem Sunday is that the defense couldn't get themselves off the field, mostly because they couldn't stop the run. That's rough, time consuming and wears a defense down. The defensive hasn't played great for two games in a row now. Their weaknesses have been exposed and it will cost us going forward.
  3. On track with my expectations, given all of the new personnel, and a young QB.
  4. Anyone who thought it wouldn't take at least a half this season to get this offense gelling was fooling themselves. Personally, I think the offense is on track and is only getting better as the season progresses.
  5. Why haven't they come out rip roaring every game? I gotta think they tried as hard as they could to win the last two games, right? I guess desperation by the Eagles could result in a win for them Sunday. Personally, I think desperation normally leads to more mistakes.
  6. They might end up being right about Josh, who knows. Josh and the Bills are heading northeast on the graph as far as I'm concerned. And he's ahead of my expectations.
  7. While I get what you're saying about a complete game, I don't think I have ever experienced a complete game by any team I follow. In my opinion, what you are talking about is a game where we can feel both the offense and the defense had good games. That's subjective and each of us will have a different opinion of that. How do you measure that? What's the bar for how many penalties, for example? I don't think none is reasonable. Does Josh have to have a deep ball reception to have a complete game? No dropped passes? Does the offense have to have zero TOs to have a complete game? Does the defense have to hold the Eagles to __ points to have a complete game? I'm of the opinion that no matter the game Josh has, there will be the handful of posters here that will feel he game wasn't complete. To answer your question, I think the Bills will play good enough to win the game.
  8. If you're moving the ball with the running and short passing game, the deep ball needs to be tossed a couple three times a game to keep the defense honest. My expectation is that the offense moves the chains, not so much how they do it.
  9. Every team sends the kitchen sink at young QBs. Allen has seen this all year to date. It certainly won't be anything new for Allen. Josh is under center quite a bit and when he's in shotgun, I think we need a RB back there with him. Even in an empty backfield, Josh can run the ball, unlike many QBs, and it'll be big yards if he gets passed that blitz. I'm not so much worried about a kitchen sink blitz. It's a risk for any team vs Josh and the Bills. It can burn them as easily as it helps them.
  10. Reading other fan's boards makes me feel better about this and other boards I follow. Puts so much in perspective.
  11. This made me go check again and it's down to 1.5 now. I have never seen swings like this. The swings would require very significant dollars being bet on both sides.

  13. I'm patiently waiting for the Jet's to leave Darnold back there again by himself
  14. Sam's sitting on the sideline looking for that good looking brunette that gave him mono!
  15. Not very smart putting Darnold back there by himself vs the Pats. Dumb dumb dumb
  16. The CBS announcer mentioned that he thought Brown looked back too soon which slowed him down. But even at that, Josh over threw him.
  17. If Josh stops growing and learning, or if he regresses, he will not be. Same as any kid I hire out of college. Do I think Josh or any kid I hire out of college will stop learning and growing or regress? No. If I did, I wouldn't have hired them. If Beane and McDermott thought Josh would quit learning and growing, I'm 100% sure they wouldn't have drafted him. In fact, I'm 100% sure they would not draft any kid that they didn't think would continue learning and develop into a better player. Given the offense around Josh last year and the brand new unit around Josh this year, I'm encouraged by the progress he's made. So, i'll play. If Josh takes the Bills to the Super Bowl next year and wins the MVP, I think he'll be the teams QB for the next 10 years.
