  1. I would argue that JA and the offense had to take what the Pat's defense was giving them. The Bills could not establish any kind of running game the entire game, logging in fewer than 50 total yds (ignoring JAs rushing yards). This made the Bills one dimensional. The Bill's offense, when successful, didn't consume much TOP, which then put our D on the field against the Pat's run offense which they were pretty damn successful doing. They had two drives in the first half that consumed 7 and 8 minutes, setting the stage for the rest of the game. NE had two RBs with just under 100 yds apiece. I think Daboll failed our running game game planning. We needed a balanced offensive attack to beat this NE defense and we didn't bring it. We couldn't find the running game. Folks are blaming Allen for the TOP difference. The successes the Bills had passing the ball, against a very tough defense, caused us to score faster, putting our D on the field more. While it was an ugly first half, the score was tied at the half. TOP was lopsided because NE used a ton of time running the ball on long, sustained, drives and our offense had to throw the ball because we couldn't run it at all. The Bills punted one time more than their average for the year. Against the best defense, that isn't the concern. We couldn't run the ball. BB outcoached us again. I think Devin is a strong RB. We need a second one, giving us that one, two punch. NE had to RBs Sat that logged in just under 100yds apiece.
  2. The Pats have averaged over five punts per game this year. Yesterday they punted twice. The Bill's have averaged 4.9 punts per game this year. Yesterday they punted six times.
  3. I think it's time to take the bit out of Josh's mouth.
  4. Unfortunately, our coaches have become accustomed to our defense shutting down the opposing offense. It was very clear that was the case in the fourth quarter yesterday based upon their play calling
  5. I wasn't the one that used that characterization, and it does fit. The defense performed much worse than they have all season.
  6. Got to give our rushing game some of those percentage points. Ignoring Allen's rushing yards we racked up less than 50 yards yards for the game.
  7. You realize they are 12 win team because of their defense, right? I suggest you go look at the offensive stats in the Pats prior 4 games including Brady's qbr. Then compare that to yesterday's stats. That will give you a better idea of how poorly our defense played yesterday.
  8. I honestly think our offense is able to put more points on the board. When the last leg of the relay team runs 5 seconds below what they normally run, I think they deserve criticism.
  9. He took them on a 14 play drive, 57 yards to the NE 8. Lot of success on that drive, but yeah not perfection.
  10. And of course it means that every first round draft pick will always beat the veteran. And it also means that every play of every game includes this dynamic.
  11. If only it was that easy for second-year, first round draft picks
  12. These are the things we don't know and the coaches do
  13. The offensive line struggled all game. Then we lost perhaps our best offensive lineman. Those last four plays we're going to take a miracle I think better protection for Allen will do much more for his accuracy then footwork will. Some context for you is necessary. Josh started 24 games in college. Lamar Jackson started 49. Both started their first year in college. Josh played for a G5. Lamar played for a P5.
  14. I'd probably reverse the picks, but I agree
  15. They are one of the best in the league. They had a pretty poor game yesterday. No reason to defend that.
  16. I don't want this to sound like any sort of moral victory kinda of crap, but the Bills are undoubtedly getting better. I'm impressed withe off season additions to the offense. I'm impressed with the progress Allen has made. Last year this team went 23-3 and 37-16 vs the Pats. This year we had the ball driving for the winning/tying score to end both games. Success breads success and the success we've had this year has made all of us impatient. It has me anyways.
  17. Brady is Brady and he's deadly heading into the playoffs. Brady is better getting rid of the ball when pressured. But I would counter that his O line is mostly the reason for his better play. He had significantly more time than Allen. Allen seemed to be constantly under pressure.
  18. This is text book McD and we all knew it was coming. I guess it's worked more than it has failed us. A 7pt lead wasn't enough today. The performance of our D up to this point made that pretty clear, didn't it?
  19. Less than 100 yds rushing and Allen got almost half of them. We got punched in the nose all afternoon in the trenches. Somebody above said we went to the run because Daboll couldn't rely on Josh passing the ball. LOL We got beat physically, very, very badly.
  20. Oh, I was sure you saw it somewhere. I just wanted to show you that I didn't pull it out of my arse

  22. Brady's QBR today was 90, his highest since week one. His QBR in his prior five games was 32, 38, 29, 39 and 36. That's on our defense. Could Josh had been better, of course. Josh didn't have time to go to his 3rd read, much less his 4th
