Goodell is going to do what, in his opinion, will maximize profits (minimize losses). It's just that simple. And this is a WAG. How's this virus going to impact the rest of the season given the options on the table? It's a WAG.
He became a franchise QB when the talent was added around him. I knew Josh was special his soph yr at Wyoming. I've seen many QBs in 50yrs in Laramie, and around the mountain west and west coast and have never seen an arm and throws like he made that year.
I have a different perspective and think otherwise. Josh was surrounded by some pretty good talent his soph year in Laramie. He lost most of that talent his junior year, including his offensive line. it was a rough year for him. He missed 2 1/2 games due to injury and then came back and played a great bowl game. He didn't lose an ounce of confidence and character. But it's OK for us to agree to disagree.
I can understand this take and agree with most of it. I think it's unfair to Josh to assume Josh's attitude and confidence would crash like Darnold's has. Character is a huge part of any player and I think Josh has that. It doesn't appear Darnold does.
28-24 Billskis
If Allen gets 300+ yards and two TDs, he joins Manning and Young as QBs that have started seasons tossing 300 yd games with two TDs. in their first 4 games of a season. I'm feeling the Bills are going to be pounding the rock on Sunday and therefore Allen doesn't get the 300yd game.
The real story around the draft and Josh is, who tossed out the tweets a day or two prior to the draft, suggesting Josh was racist. And how did that impact and influence who drafted him. If at all.
Josh and the offense will hickup a couple of times this year. You have to expect that. We need our D back to where they were last year. Gotta have 'em.
