But isn't Sanders a huge step up from Brown? Let teams concentrate on Diggs for awhile.

ROCKPILE REVIEW - Bills Roll Over WFT
dakrider replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
meh, Wash. is garbage. The Miami win was much more impressive imo even though everyone only harped on Allen's inconsistent play. -
Yeah it helps when everyone on your team is practically an all-american. Tim Tebow while at Florida - his teams were loaded too.

Jets trading Darnold for an unproven Wilson who will be the next Josh Rosen is going to go down as one of the Jets biggest blunders of all time.

I watched John Elway most of his career and he had many bad games statistically in his career and didn't look good at times but the primary thing was he was able to do enough to win the game. And thats the bottom line, not how many yards and TD's you get week to week. You can also go look at some QB's that consistently put up good numbers but don't win games. Its does the QB do enough to propel the team to win. Style points don't buy much.

9/12/2021 Steelers @ Bills Post Game thread
dakrider replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steelers looked like crap for 2/3 of this game but the Bills just didn't take advantage of that at all. Some of the worse offensive play calling I've ever seen. Absolutely atrocious. Allen obviously had a bad day, several high passes and several passes into tight coverage that had very little chance. A couple plays he was staring at his receiver right after the snap. Losing teams settle for field goals after a first and goal. Receivers didn't help much. Running game was non existent thru most the game - This is still a Bills weakness. Blocked Punt - no excuse for that. Way to many penalties on offense and defense. Refs did suck but that wasn't why Bills lost. Steelers O and D lines outplayed the Bills lines. One of the things I was worried about was the Bills run defense and that was about the only thing they did pretty well. -

I'm sure Dallas will embarrass themselves again. They'll probably look good on their first drive and thats it. -
Views from the Opposition City - week 1 Pittsburgh
dakrider replied to Lothar's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So what I mostly meant was we all know what Josh Allen and the receivers are going to do. That is the driving force for the offense but regardless how good any offense is, they can't score if their not on the field and the less their on the field, the less rhythm they develop. I don't expect the Bills to be in nearly as many close games this year though as I don't see how most teams will be able to keep up with them. But for those few... -

Every team will be looking to run and control the ball against the Bills. And the Bills, like most every team require some rhythm on offense and if the other team is effectively running the ball and chewing up the clock, it makes it tough for the Bills offense as well because if they punt, then they lose more clock, if they score right away, they still give the ball right back. Bills have to do a better job stopping the run and they also need to be able to run the ball themselves especially on the 2nd or 3rd and 2 plays. To me, that is the key to their season, not Josh Allen. -
How much to play Allen and the starters in the preseason?
dakrider replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since only 3 games and a 2 week period before reg season starts - should play 1st Qtr of each game imo. -
Would the Bills have beaten the Bucs?
dakrider replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
KC kept making mistakes in this game. Defensive penalties, including the one on the punt were huge. Coaching mistakes like calling those timeouts at end of first half when Bucs had the ball as well as not able to adapt their offense. I don't think Bills would have won but they might have matched up a little better. -

So would rather lose the AFC Championship game or be embarrassed in the SB? YEAH. -
Here's What I Got Wrong About the Bills in 2020
dakrider replied to TheCockSportif's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The one thing that played out is the Bills are the 2nd best team in the AFC, despite their horrid running game and some other deficiencies. Coming into the season Bills were thought to be one of the top 8 out of 20 teams but moved to 2nd. Getting into the playoffs and then winning 2 playoff games is certainly a big step up from last few years. -
Who is the imposter in Brian Daboll's Body?
dakrider replied to Lieutenant Aldo Raine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Receivers weren't getting open very quickly and Allen really didn't have time to wait for them. They needed more quick plays and they just weren't doing that. I think Allen's biggest mistakes in the game were running backwards when being sacked. Don't run backwards 20 yards! You take a step or two around but not running back like that. There were some plays Allen had no time or options to do anything whereas Bills defense barely touched Mahomes and missed some great sacks. The absolute worst play imo was the Singletary dropped pass. A 5 year old would have caught that pass. Bills coaching staff didn't prepare them for the noise either. Played all year without any noise and was exactly what it looked like. The other poor part was the Bills inability to score TD's and instead settled for field goals. They didn't have enough urgency and they should have gone for a couple of those 4th downs. And on defense, how was Kelce barely covered and open time and again. Some plays he would float out there uncovered. What did they think would happen? With Hill is a little different but Kelce is not Hill. -
I would think the Bills should approach the game like it will be a shootout. If your on KC side of field with 4th and 2, go for it. Giving the ball to KC on the 20 vs 40 not really that much a difference. Bills should run an uptempo game as well. And whatever happened to the draw play to a RB? Run that and some screens.
