Man I hate when that happens!

My first car was a 1969 Plymouth Sattelite. The car looked like crap but ran like a top and got me everywhere that I needed to go. I once drove it for 6 months without the reverse gear working. Talk about planning ahead before pulling in a parking lot. I think of "Ole Bess" every time I hear Neil Young's "Long May You Run".

I reread your initial post and quoted several of your statements above. It appears to me that you feel the best thing is to move your kid to a different class. I think that you should follow your instincts and forget about the "chain of command" suggestions and the "kids are pussies" statements and do what is right for your child. It is the beginning of the school year and the best time to move your kid is now. By the time you "poll the parents", "discuss with the teacher and give her a second chance", and "bring it up to the principal" and "bring it to the school board" you will have wasted a lot of time. As for the people who think that our kids don't get enough stress: think about how your mom used to be home for you when you got out of school. Not many kids are lucky enough to have a parent home when they get out of school. Also, our kids are getting tested to death with schools putting more emphasis on state tests than teaching the regular curriculum. I think that kids have enough stress now. My kids have soccer games, hockey games, guitar and drum lessons that tie up most nights of the week as well as homework and household chores. Good luck to you!

If it was me, I would go to the principal and have my kid switched. It sounds like the teacher is too old to change her style. Also, by talking to other parents, they may beat you to switching teachers and your kid may be stuck. Tell the principal all of your reasons to switch and don't take no for an answer. They might try to talk you into giving the teacher another chance. Your kid comes FIRST! Get him out of that environment before you go postal.

I love most of the HBO shows, but I just couldn't get into this one. It must have gotten bette ragter the premiere which sucked.

And people in FL think that they've got it rough. If this happens, at least they could film the sequel to Waterworld there.

It depends if you watch movies when they are on. If you tape them, you don't need HD. I like ESPNHD for Sunday night football and hockey(if there is a season). A lot of ESPN HD programming is not true HD. I would probably go with (B) because I would rather have the HD sports.

Hey, I'm just as sick as the next guy....but it's over and done with. We had our share of bad luck yesterday: 3 fourth down conversions holding penalty on a game ending 1st down a catch on the end line by a rookie while draped by 3 defenders If any one of these went the other way the Bills would have won and we wouldn't need to hear about how everyone on our team sucks. Remember that the Patsies lost 31-0 last year in week one and won the SB. So we're 0-1. Big Deal. Let's go kick some Raider butt next week and get it back! Go Bills!!!

Hell Yeah!! I'm am so ready for football season. Drove by the Ralph this morning and saw a bunch of RV's and people partying already!!! The Bills are going to kick some butt this season! Can't wait to see a short-yardage running play!

I'm just glad that we signed AS. He has been a decent LE and would have commanded a big contract next year. Then what do we have...Denney at LE and Kelsay at RE? The comparisons with Ogun and Seymour don't mean squat. AS has played well his 1st 3 years on OUR defense and will continue to get better. Thanks TD! Now get to work on JJ.

I can see Travis Brown being pissed but too bad. We don't have the luxury of using a roster spot on a guy whose only chance of playing is if we tank the season. TB was never going to be a starter for the Bills. I'm sure that lots of other players cut were pissed too.

If not for the injuries, he probably wouldn't have played at all in preseason. I thought he did ok when he played. He should make a good qb in the arena league.

I don't think that you can cut Dorenbos unless Teague and Neufeld can handle the job flawlessly. A bad snapper could kill us. Lindell needs all the good mojo he can get and the snaps have to be there.

The penalties have to stop be it on ST or O or D. I think that Fast Freddy is cut and maybe signed to PS. Moorman did not get much height on his kicks today. I hope he doesn't drop off from last year.

I love Williams' speed in hitting the hole. He also had some good returns that got called back. I would also rather see him return punts than Clements. We couldn't afford to get Nate hurt on special teams.
