  1. Sounds like a great way for everything to blow up. Ownership publicly calling out the coach and players about their performance... that would make Buffalo seem like they have their stuff together. I'll continue to say this... thank God you're not in charge of people. There would be an uprising the likes of which the world has never seen.
  2. They don't have a defensive coordinator. Stephen Belichick is the defacto defensive coordinator. After Patricia left, I'm pretty sure he didn't name a new DC. Flores was safeties coach, then LB coach and then remained LB coach and started calling defensive plays without the DC title. I believe Stephen was involved as well at the time. Now he's following that same path... LB coach while also calling plays on defense with no actual DC. EDIT: Belichick has been calling plays since last season... so after Flores left.
  3. Yeah, you might have had an argument until you started talking. Woof. Minshew just got benched with no promise of him returning as the starter. Drew Lock? Have you actually watched Kyler play QB? If we waited 4 years to take a QB you’d be the first to cry about it, so Burrow and Herbert were never in the mix. Come on, man.
  4. That’s not what I was saying... I’m not trying to argue here. What you’re telling me is different than what I’ve been told from others... I’m trying to learn. Njoku dropped 3/35 in 2017 Njoku dropped 8/64 in 2018 (#1 TE drop rate) Njoku dropped 2/7 in 2019 That’s 13 in his career prior to this season. You told me he only had 8 total. That’s from the link to the article included. That drop was from yesterday and was sent over. That’s all. I’m not arguing Knox doesn’t drop the football...
  5. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cleveland.com/browns/2020/08/david-njoku-needs-to-drop-fewer-passes-and-te-coach-drew-petzing-is-working-on-it.html%3foutputType=amp I should have included what they sent me to illustrate their points. It looks like your drop numbers are off... that 8 drops numbers he had was from one season.
  6. What specifically is it about Njoku that you like? I’ve got a lot of friends who are Cleveland fans and they say he has a worse case of drops than Knox.
  7. I got it. Needs to be overly flashy is a qualification for a good HC. I can agree with a majority of those guys are ahead of McDermott . Harbaugh, Reid, Tomlin, Payton, Carroll, Belichick, Pederson, Shannahan, Vrabel. McVay is interesting to me. After taking the NFL by storm things have been up and down. I guess once you get the reputation of an early riser you can sleep until noon. Or is it because his wife is hot and he has cool hair that’s he’s a good coach? I’m not sure what Kingsbury, Rhule, Reich, LaFluer or Flores have really shown that would make me jump at them over McDermott. I mean Rhule, Reich and Flores are basically a similar quantity. Faith based, culture based, etc. I like them a lot. Although if you don’t like McDermott’s style then you can’t like Rhule’s his a cross between McDermott and a preacher. Ultimately I’ve got Sean in the 10-13 range... with all of those guys in the second paragraph and McVay ahead of him. If you think you can upgrade on that, let me know where you’d find them... We’re not getting any of those guys... any NFL OC/DC you think would be better than Sean? College coaches?
  8. Yeah, probably. I’m pretty sure he just wakes up every morning and prays the Bills win. Prays that God writes a good game plan. Prays that God call a timeout when they need it. Prays that God forces a turnover. Prays that God set a good culture at OBD. Prays that God doesn’t throw a flag. This is probably all they talk about in team meetings. “Now Josh, if God throws a flag tomorrow, you can’t be upset. There’s a reason for it!”
  9. Do you have a recommendation for a better coach? Or examples of the 14-15 coaches you think are better than McDermott?
  10. Hmmm... maybe because they’re a division opponent? It kind of works that way. At least we didn’t lose to the Jets. Tennessee only beat Jacksonville by 3. Oakland knocked of the Chiefs. Arizona gave Seattle their first loss. Vikings just beat the Packers.
  11. Lol got it. We're all set now!
  12. Is there a sarcasm font I can use?
  13. He's been so careless with the cap. Dude is clueless when it comes to building a team. Needs to go. Along with Edmunds, McDermott, Norman, Murphy, Morse, Winters, Klein, Johnson, Hyde, Poyer, Terry Pegula, John Murphy, Chris Brown and Dan Evans (VP of Information Technology). Am I missing anyone? Oh wait Michelle Schrum... the Human Resources Generalist. She has to be the reason why McDermott claps so much... he's doing it so he doesn't get a complaint from someone to HR! Schrum is really causing issues in the organization.
  14. This 6-2 mess is really bad. Hopefully they don't keep it up, I can't stand the thought of it.
  15. Beane is asleep at the wheel. This is just unacceptable. He's done nothing to make this team better... I'm not even talking this season. I'm talking in the 4 years he has been here... the guy hasn't made one good FA signing and all of his drafts suck!!!!!!!!!!! I can't handle it anymore. I'm reaching out to Korn Ferry myself and getting them to start conducting a search for our next GM. I'm going to make sure they put together a list for HC candidates too... don't even get me started on that McClappy guy. 🙄
  16. No expectations here. This week was the most important game. We keep winning in conference and in the division things should be ok. If we lost I’d be more freaked out for Seattle. It would be nice to get a victory against a good Seahawks team.
  17. Survived a game they most definitely would have lost... what an interesting way to say they won the game... Thank your sir, may I have another?
  18. McDermott and Flores are really similar quantities to me. I like them both as HC. Both believe a lot in culture, family, etc. If you don’t like that from McDermott than you won’t like Flores. Flores is also 0-3 against McDermott and according to many here McDermott should be fired... so I’m not sure many CAN make the argument for Flores because of the stances they take regularly. I think Flores is there for a long time and McDermott is here for a long time. We forget that McDermott did similar things to what Flores is doing early on - getting a poor roster to over perform. Although this Miami team is pretty talented, but last year they were not.
  19. You’re still here? What do I have to do to get you to stop posting? I really hope you’re not in charge of a group of employees somewhere... because if that’s how you view people and talk about them you should really re-evaluate things. I shudder at the thought of having to deal with someone as negative and nasty as you on a day to day basis.
  20. Very good points. Very level headed points. Thank you for using what seems to be ever elusive logic on this board.
  21. Ah, let me clarify what I meant. We’re up 1.5 games AND have the tiebreaker. I phrased that poorly. Having the tiebreaker is like having a 2.5 game lead, because if things were even we’d still have the lead. Miami needs to make up 2.5 games to take over the division. I misspoke.
  22. We’re 2.5 up with the tiebreaker over them, as of now.
  23. I’m pretty sure Thuney, Andrews and Mason will all be active. White, Harris, and Burkhead. Also, JJ Taylor. My buddy played at U of A, raves about Taylor. Says he’s someone who can get hot and takeover a game. Gives me Jonas Gray vibes where he may just randomly run for 200 yards and 4 TDs and then never does anything again. There’s a real chance we will have our hands full against the run game.
  24. You’re insufferable. It’s the same post regurgitated on every thread. You keep saying the playoff season in 2017 was pure luck. They didn’t make the playoffs because they had the record and the necessary tiebreakers? The team got lucky week in and week out? Nobody in the front office or on the coaching staff did anything to contribute to making the playoffs? “Compared to most powerhouse franchises” list those off for me and let’s look at the path it took for the organization to become a powerhouse franchise. If all of them happened overnight then you win and I’ll delete my account.
  25. I just watched the All-22 from the Ravens game real quick... that was 100% NOT Micah Hyde’s fault. Both and Hyde and Poyer were on the right side of the formation. Hyde was lined up against Nick Boyle and Poyer was lined up against Hayden Hurst. Hurst was off of the LT and Boyle was off of him. Hyde and Poyer were right next to each other. Boyle made a break into the flat and then came back across the field. Hurst ran a route in the middle of the field and Poyer just lost him in coverage. Hyde was working back towards the middle of the field with Boyle as the pass was thrown and recognized the blown coverage and made an attempt to get down field to make a play... he was the closest player to Hurst when he scored, but it wasn’t Micah’s fault.
