Uhhh this isn’t actually true...
-
I would agree with you on all of that. It will be a competitive division though... fun for everyone involved on the fan level.
-
Yeah he’s done a good job cap wise now that more information is coming out. That defense will be tough as always... I personally don’t think they signed any legitimate difference makers or really have any on offense but I may be wrong. It does really come down to the QB... so until then it doesn’t matter much. I am sure they’re doing something else there.

Do you really feel Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry deserve to be the 3rd highest paid TEs in football? $12.5M is around what some of the top WR make...

Gronk Considered signing with Bills
JGMcD2 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, our culture is VERY poor! The Bills are VERY bad! Gronk chose the lowly Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers that he played with last year... who happen to have the only QB he’s ever played with over Buffalo. Our culture is VERY clearly the issue. Just because a team is “in on” a player doesn’t mean they made a serious offer. In this case they made Gronk a serious offer... we have no idea what the offer looked like for Watt (who straight up took money over playing for a contender) or anyone else. -
Yeah just to follow up on this after digging into passer rating for LB (min 30 targets) a little bit deeper over the last 3 years since Edmunds came into the league.. In 2019 over a full 16 games he was 11/58 in passer rating amongst all linebackers. Just behind Kuechly and Roquan Smith... ahead of Eric Kendricks, Fred Warner and Devin White. In 2018 he was 27/67 over 16 games sandwiched by Fred Warner and Darius Leonard. This year he was really bad overall.. 55/63 LB. He dealt with that shoulder injury for the first two months according to Beane. Passing rating over the first two months (7 games, 1 missed against Miami) was 115.5 Passer rating the final two months of the season was 84.84 and that includes the playoffs as well... oddly enough his career average passer rating prior to 2020 was... you guessed it 84.8 Pretty clear the first half of this season was an anomaly and heavily influenced his final passer rating number. The guy has played 46 regular season games 38 where his passer rating sits at 84.8 and 8 where it’s 115 and you use the 8 to say he’s not good in pass coverage. Over 3 seasons here’s how the numbers break down for LB passer rating. Q1: 109.45 Median: 97.7 Q3: 88.25 If you don’t want to account for the fact he was injured this year... his career numbers put him just above the 50th percentile... if you do account for the fact he was injured this year he is just below the 80th percentile... Would you like to do a fun exercise where you name some LB that you’d rather have over Tremaine Edmunds because of their pass defense abilities and I show you where their numbers since 2018 rank compared to Tremaine? I can tell you Devin White (99.3) is actually worse. Fred Warner (82.5), Darius Leonard (88.9) and Bobby Wagner (92.4) are better overall but when you account for the fact that Tremaine was clearly impacted by his injury they’re all about the same... Roquan Smith is elite (77.1) for comparison to all of them.
-
Yeah it was high this year... what about previous years... ? I think we had this discussion before... but his passer rating the 1st half the season was VERY high and then it came back down around his career average in the second half of the season.
-
What data suggests this? Also, I thought you didn’t trust data... weird statement to make considering that.
-
And pretty much every horrible Bills team for 20 years “almost” split with Tom Brady and the Patriots early in the season only to be shellacked later in the season. Some great offenses with EJ Manuel, JP Losman, Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm... to think... the Patriots “almost” lost to teams quarterbacked by those guys.

Updated (Hendrickson gone) crap load of teams in on Samuel
JGMcD2 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah at his salary I agree... but I’m not sure there are many clear upgrades for the production to pay ratio after he took his pay cut. I may be wrong... I’ll admit if I am wrong... I just didn’t think anyone else was that elite where it was a clear upgrade -
Bills a rumored suitor for Kareem Hunt trade
JGMcD2 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure it does... he’s making fringe top 10 RB money and Chubb is due for a contract at the end of the year. They’re not spending ~$20M+ on running backs. -

Not shocked by this one bit... they were VERY interested in him the first time around. -
Boy it would really be a shame if constructed this super team with all eyes on beating the Chiefs and then the Chiefs get upset and our team is only able to beat the Chiefs and then we lose to the team that upset them. That would be pretty wild... isn’t there a saying like don’t put all your eggs in one basket or something? Just get better... focus on what you don’t do well and improve at it.
-
My guess is that the earliest we see the team get better would be when free agency kicks off on Wednesday, March 17th. This free agent period will allow Beane to sign players from other organizations to contracts that bind them to the Buffalo Bills organization. If that doesn’t happen I think the other option to get better would be during the 2021 NFL Draft. It begins on Thursday, April 29th and concludes on Saturday, May 1st. In short, we can see the Bills get better as early as Wednesday, March 17th but no later than Saturday, May 1st.
-
My guess would be yes. I would hope that Beane/McDermott sat down with Daboll and discussed the feasibility of fixing the run game with the exact same OL... and the answer was yes it’s possible. Otherwise I think they would have made adjustments. They already have the pass game worked out at a very high level... they can skew the amount of time they spend in camp implementing better run concepts. That’s just a guess on my end... but feels like how they would handle this.
-
Brandon Beane is on an f’n heater. Draft is wide open now... and FA value signings will be fun to follow. They think they have something with the people in the building... and want to keep adding.

Jordan Poyer admits to being an alcoholic
JGMcD2 replied to Markaf431's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Coming into a serious thread and making your first comments in that thread a joke about someone’s addiction shouldn’t sit well with anyone and deserves to be called out. It doesn’t matter what the intention is... it’s in poor taste. If you want to let that kind of behavior go unchecked... that’s fine. It’s not cancel culture... they’re still going to be here and that’s part of the reason for doing it... to avoid similar situations in the future. It’s calling someone out for inappropriate behavior... if this is a simple message board of like minded people... having a standard and some intramember accountability shouldn’t be an issue with anyone. I like to believe everyone on here would help someone who is in serious need and I’m sure everyone does... but what you say and do behind closed doors or in this case with a cloak of anonymity on a message board seems like a more accurate representation of how you truly feel. I would say keeping someone accountable and pointing out inappropriate behavior and making jokes about someone’s addiction are on two different ends of the spectrum. -

Great joke. While you’re making jokes about alcoholism do you have any about rape, depression, suicide, genocide, poverty or murder? ***** #######. -

JGMcD2 replied to Markaf431's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After looking at his post I see exactly what you're saying... I'd like to think he didn't meant it that way... my interpretation was that he meant the traumatic experiences (playoff loss, contract issues) that lead him to the place that he was were insignificant compared to the traumatic experiences that lead the people he was surrounded with to that same place... not that his life was better than theirs... but I can completely understand how it came across in a way where he made it seem like he thought he was better than the people he was in AA with. Not trying to dismiss you at all... just giving my initial interpretation of what he said... but fully understand your point of view and definitely see where it came across exactly that way. Trying to find some common ground here. -

You’re lecturing someone about shouting down another addict when you made this statement 3 pages back? Glad he is in a good place. Now is the time to hit him up for a pay cut. What makes you think you can talk about sympathy and how to treat people? Seriously... maybe it doesn’t bother you but it surely bothered other folks on here... even if you were saying it in jest... which is equally as grotesque as what you’re lecturing someone on. You’ve been shouting down an addict in Poyer across this thread... don’t you find any irony in your statement? Can’t wait to watch the word gymnastics you perform next... -
