  1. Josh Allen’s shorts. He looks good in them. I want to buy the pornographic email that Doug Whaley sent to the entire Steelers organization as a NFT. Kind of Bills related?
  2. This is news to me… lots of folks on here keeps telling me the sky is falling and our window is closing.
  3. I’m going to double dip a bit here.. McDermott specifically had dinner with Bruce and Jim among others when he was first hired… Proving how detail-oriented he is, McDermott even asked if he could take notes on his phone during the meeting. Tasker said the purpose of the meeting was to help him understand “why our team was different, and still is.” Weird… https://www.google.com/amp/s/buffalowdown.com/2017/04/06/buffalo-bills-sean-mcdermott-legends/amp/
  4. This train of thought is exactly why my generation sucks. Think we know it all and laugh off the experience of those who came before us - it is idiotic. You don't have to see eye to eye with everything they said, did or suggest to do now... but there's always some knowledge to be gained from someone. Even if 99.9% of what they say is eyewash... you can use the other 0.1%. Great quote one of my coworkers (who is much older than me) shared with me a few weeks back "There are no friends or enemies, only teachers." You're hurting yourself if you're not trying to learn from someone else at all times.
  5. Funny because they’re basically the same team too
  6. Do you mean that Diggs and Beasley compliment each other well or that they’re good complimentary pieces to another WR in an offense? Because if you’re telling me the WR who lead the NFL in catches and yards in the #2 ranked offense in the game is just a “complimentary piece” I’m going to have some questions….
  7. I was at this game. Defense kept us in it… the goal line stand where we stuffed them on goal and 1 like 8 times was amazing to watch. Josh struggled but made a few plays here and there. Definitely left a lot on the field. Everyone around me was going nuts on the touch pass fumble… I knew it was coming back right away. Tough loss… being in Pittsburgh a few weeks later when we clinched made it ok for me though.
  8. Looks exactly like our new protocol that got released today. Leagues must be copying and pasting from each other.
  9. He played in three less games in 2020 than he did in 2019 so his total yard and total TDs not changing is irrelevant... would love to see the catch% improve (would also love to see the # of targets that were actually catchable) His production per game was actually higher in an offense with more mouths to feed... In terms of growth... I felt like he became a point of emphasis in the red zone after returning from COVID. He caught 5 TDs in 9 games down the stretch... they found a little bit of a different way to use him and he was pretty effective in that role. I'm not saying he was a world beater... but I don't expect him to be a world beater at this point. He's still unbelievably raw. There are definite signs of growth. Josh's safe outlet is Cole Beasley. I don't really care what position his "safe outlet" is as a young QB... as long as he has one. Cole is that guy. The TE position being a problem for the Bills for 2 decades is irrelevant. It has no bearing on Knox or this regime... they're attempting to develop a guy in the mold of the most disruptive guys at the position in the game today as a solution to our TE problem... people just are growing impatient because they want Kelce or Kittle overnight. Not sure I understand this... so because a raw player at a position that takes a very long time as compared to other positions in the NFL to develop hasn't developed quickly in 2 years he doesn't have a high ceiling?
  10. Yes, you're right. The rules do inhibit the ability to wait... but the better teams have a process in which they follow. Just because the rules put a little more pressure on teams doesn't mean you have to panic when every player doesn't follow the expedited timeline that the rules force upon you. The fans seem to be panicking whereas the front office seems to be perfectly fine with Dawson Knox as our main TE option and they've supplemented him with some talent to compete with as they do at every position. I wasn't referring to you... I speak in blanket statements.
  11. I was referring to last year - not his entire career. Didn't specify so that's my bad. I thought he showed some growth last year after coming off the COVID list... prior to that I felt like he struggled. I'm just using the eye test and going off of memory. I would have to go back and watch his tape... unfortunately I don't have time to do that because I'm doing something similar for work. I guess I am in a different camp than everyone else with Knox. I don't have high expectations for him right now - I think he has a high ceiling but a TE who is very clearly still working out the kinks at a notoriously slow position to develop is not a guy I'm throwing a tantrum over because he's not our #1 or #2 target in this offense. Maybe I'm more patient because in baseball we're taking 16 year old kids and spending 4-6 years refining their skillset (not including the 4-5 years after that where they continue to improve significantly once reaching the highest level) and I'm used to it taking quite a bit of time for everything to come together. He's a highly athletic developmental piece that I am treating accordingly. Sometimes I don't think expectations match reality... when you have a guy who is raw he's going to be raw regardless of what round he was drafted in. It's going to require a solid development plan along with the necessary reps and experience for the pieces to come together. It's honestly something this board and the Bills fanbase should be familiar with because of Josh. Good organizations are capable of developing people and in the case of sports, players.
  12. I LOVE the guys throwing Knox’s numbers out (only played 12 games BTW) there as a way to say he’s bad. It’s funny that people are upset that the 4th or 5th option in our offense put up 4th or 5th option numbers… there are only so many targets to go around folks. Now if you’re asking for him to be more involved in the offense… that’s fine… it just comes at the expense of Diggs, Beasley, Davis and Sanders.
  13. Ironically I read that during drill work today they were pumping in crowd noise. Obviously not the same but it seems like something they’re aware of and going to work through.
  14. What does this even mean...? The man himself is vaccinated, but the qualities in people that he values tell you that they're the type that are hesitant to get vaccinated?
  15. I didn’t hear anything about Sanders. Cole Beasley is there because he made the point about Cole being able to get treatment in the facility… it was after someone asked about the Diggs/Beasley injuries in the playoffs.
  16. Lol yeah that's the point. I am just trying to beat the usual suspects to the dead horse they're going to beat. I do not believe that's what is going on at all.
  17. That selfish Stefon Diggs is starting rear his ugly head... Expect a hold out for a $200M contract soon. 😁
  18. I believe the terminology Brandon Beane uses is it’s a “people driven business.”
  19. You have to get it right immediately? They post you commented on says “They seemed to have hired a tremendous supporting cast.” Nobody said that he “hired a tremendous supporting cast from the get go.” He also dumped some of the scouts… not all of the scouts. Likely the ones who didn’t seem fully bought in to the new regime change. It’s common… you have people that push back because it’s not what they’re used to or they think they’re a goner so they become difficult to work with. Without buy-in and people pulling towards a common goal your screwed… McDermott held on to plenty of people in the organization… a majority of those were probably those who showed they were bought in. Please take it from someone who works in professional sports and has endured a regime change. I’ve watched this all unfold over the last year and a half where I am. Perfectly good coaches and staff, some of my very good friends were let go because THEY were being difficult and making things harder on the new group who came in. That’s on them… not the people in charge.
  20. I mean I wouldn't say statistics are garbage... fans want super specific information that takes everything into account. That's not what statisticians do in sports... they try and see what happens over the course of time to help make better decisions in those situations. They take the names out of it and just focus on what's most likely to happen. Statistics can't be as the sole source of information to make your decisions. It should be a conglomerate of things that you weigh to make an informed decision - including statistics. A good decision maker understands what the numbers are telling them, factors in the game, their players, etc. and makes an informed decision. I.e. (The numbers are completely fabricated to illustrate my point) The numbers say that 4th and 7 from your own 47 is converted 70% of the time when you run the ball. McDermott gets that info and goes "ok, it's a high percentage play AND we have one of the most dangerous running QBs in the league AND we've been gashing these guys all day with designed QB runs" BUT OH WAIT the ATC just came over and told McDermott that Josh Allen has a high ankle sprain, it won't affect him in the pocket but it may inhibit his ability to run. So now he weighs all of that and makes a decision... Statistics aren't garbage... it's how the statistics are used that can be garbage.
  21. Would have been quite interesting to see what would have happened had the refs seen Jones punch Feliciano...
  22. This is a complete and total guess.... Davis Webb? He was the run organizing and running things last year, right?
  23. “People were kind of, I’m not going to say peeing on me and telling me that it’s raining, that’s a little bit harsh. But once you don’t have trust with the person. It’s hard to do business.”
  24. What I don’t understand is Diggs has made it clear he loved the city of Minnesota... he just didn’t love the way he was treated by the coaching staff and front office. The guy is taking it like it was a Diggs throwing shade at the city... when he left he said he loved the city and the fans... he didn’t love the way he was treated by the organization.
