  1. Is it Crosby’s fault ? His holder is Bojórquez… 😬
  2. I’ve wanted to bring Patterson in here over the past few years. He’s bounced around a bunch since 2017 and has never really broken the bank… at least compared to what he offers. Great special teamer and some interesting offensive versatility. Glad he’s found a pronounced role somewhere.
  3. It’s the former. Do I think that’s actually how it unfolded? Partially… but I 100% believe that’s the story Antonio Brown told and most likely believes himself.
  4. I’m dead serious. Dead serious.
  5. I have a friend who did some work with Brown this off-season. He spent quite a bit of time with him. I had my buddy ask AB why he didn’t come to Buffalo. He did and got a candid answer. “My agent told me Buffalo was going to trade for me and sign me to a big contract. I said nah, they suck. Josh Rosen is trash.” To which my buddy replied “oh, haha. You mean Josh Allen.” AB replied “Wait, their QB isn’t Josh Rosen?” I swear on my life this happened. He nixed the trade because he thought our QB was Josh Rosen… and 3 years later still thought our QB was Josh Rosen. AB also still hasn’t paid my buddy and it’s been 6 months.
  6. Absolutely fair on the first point. Although, look at all those other teams finding elite players at a high rate that we named. Saints, Colts, WFT, 49ers, Panthers and Browns Wintson, Wentz and Heinicke are going to put pressure on. Lance, Darnold and Mayfield may never elevate a team like a true franchise QB needs to. Drafting an elite QB gives Beane the ability to find more elite guys at other positions.
  7. I can’t argue with any of the names there either. I think what this exercise illustrates is something we already know - it’s hard to find elite players. Nobody has found more than 3 over the past 5 years. I don’t think it’s really even possible to smash the league there. Drafting the way we have gives you the ability to find the elite guys IMO.
  8. I think that assessment is more than fair. Even so, we’ve names 4-5 other teams? I’m not even sure those teams have drafted more guys than two (Allen and White). Bills are still in the upper echelon there… Browns - Chubb, Garrett and Ward. Carolina - McCaffrey and? Washington - Young, Sweat and ? New Orleans - Kamara, Lattimore, Ramczyk Colts - Nelson and Leonard They Bills are in an enviable position.
  9. Zay Jones and Cody Ford. If they’re drafted 5th round or later I have a hard time calling a guy a “bust.” It’s very difficult for those guys to amount to much more than a special teams contributor. It’s not impossible… it’s just that the rate of failure that low in the draft is sky high.
  10. Yeah, I see eye to eye with you on 99% of this. I’d be curious to see how the Bills compare to the rest of the league when it comes to getting those top end guys over the past 5 years. Josh Allen Dion Dawkins Tre White Matt Milano? Let’s say I leave Milano out. I’m feeling pretty good about the fact that they got 3 impact guys in 5 years. Off the top of my head I can think of 1 or 2 teams that may have nabbed more and those are the Colts and Saints.
  11. Yeah… this is definitely on the high end for a NCB. Only Kenny Moore makes more. Taron slots in above Mike Hilton, Jonathan Jones and Bryce Callahan now. Not the end of the world considering we played like 91% of our defensive snaps in Nickel last year. It’s a valuable, starting position in our defense.
  12. Did I say Tremaine was a hit? Show me where I said that… I said he’d get extended. Let me just cite The Athletic article published yesterday where multiple people in the NFL are quoted saying they don’t understand why fans think Tremaine Edmunds isn’t a stud despite everyone outside of Buffalo viewing him as a special player. **Spoiler: It’s because fans have no idea what his responsibilities are and the problems he poses for opposing offenses.** FYI - I did analysis on the Bills drafting under McBeane and then just with Beane. Beane is one of the best drafters since he took over the draft for the Bills in 2018… he’s better than “pretty ok.” I also specifically said “The Bills” in my OP and not “Beane” for this reason exactly.
  13. And could have 32 other teams, including the Colts who passed on him in the 1st round. The revisionist stuff doesn’t work. That paragraph was 31 words long… 5 words were used to reference some analysis I did on the Bills draft. 16% of the paragraph was a reference to me. Hardly constitutes tooting my own horn for “an entire paragraph.” Wanna try again?
  14. Yeah… you’re completely missing the point of what constitutes drafting well. I can count 2 truly bad draft picks in 5 years. They’ve been one of the best drafting teams over the last 5 years. Is that what I said? I said “Great move, Bills” and that’s your response. Nice try…
  15. As much as some people here behave like we don’t draft well, even though I’ve proved otherwise, the fact we keep extending our own because they’re contributing proves it as well. 3 guys from the 2017 draft. 2 from the 2018 draft, with Tremaine Edmunds coming eventually. It’ll keep happening. Great move, Bills.
  16. He was on the 49ers team that lost to KC in the Super Bowl too.
  17. Fenton played and had an interception… but yeah they were banged up too. Not sure anyone had something as severe as a broken leg or torn oblique (only know that because of the reports about the Bills after the season) but everyone is playing banged up… it’s not really a great excuse. I don’t know why you’re giving me attitude like it was my narrative I was trying to push? I was just asking for clarification.
  18. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I’m not familiar with who was hurt for KC. Any names?
  19. Andy Reid has had his way with us since Mahomes got to KC McDermott beat Reid in 2017 at Arrowhead. Granted it was Tyrod Taylor against Alex Smith… but that Chiefs team was much more talented than us. Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, etc.
  20. It’s hard for all fans to put things in perspective… the word fanatic is defined as “a person with excessive and single-minded zeal”… don’t act like this message board is unique. I went to college in Massachusetts and my Patriots fan friends are just as insufferable as some of the posters on this board. My Dolphins fan friends are the same way… they’re still convinced Josh is bad and he “just gets lucky against them.” The list goes on and on.
  21. Haha yeah… but my point was the guy said our last couple of game plans have been awful and then described his ideal game plan as the one we used last year 😂
  22. Isn’t this exactly what we did against them the first game last year?
  23. Drew Lock is our future backup QB. I called it with Mitch… I’m going to try and call my shot again.
  24. Hopefully Milano coming out of the game was precautionary… hamstrings linger 😞
