NFLPA Publishes Their List of Top Coordinators
JGMcD2 replied to BCAS Baritone's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing I've learned over the years, the majority of players aren't really clear on what it takes to be a high-level coach. What they are VERY clear on is how a coach makes them feel. Players don't view the game the same way most coaches and fans do. This is really ranking the best "people managers" in those roles. As for X's and O's... well that shows up in the results. -
Von Miller: Bills made “right decision” to sit me

Lord. The revisionist history with this signing is hysterical. -
Josh Allen is kinda, sorta, in the Pro Football Hall of Fame
JGMcD2 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean the statistically he’s on pace to be in the top 5-10 QBs ever. Josh’s average season the last 4 years blows some of the recent MVP seasons out of the water. Somehow this inconsistent QB is consistently putting up MVP numbers since breaking out in 2020. We’re going to penalize the guy for consistently being elite while MAYBE 1 other guy a year produces a similar season and gets an award. His *career* INT% of 2.4% is equal to guys in a similar era like Matthew Stafford and better than Rivers, Roethlisberger, Manning and Newton to name a few. Drew Brees sat at 2.3%. Want to talk about fumbles? Lamar? Hurts? They’re not passers like Josh Allen. Hurts averages 3 fumbles lost a season, Lamar 4, Josh 4. How come we don’t hear about their fumbling problem? Sure, let’s talk about all the other dual threat QBs that throw the ball like Josh…. Waiting… Josh is about to have his 4th straight 4,000 yard passing season. Lamar, Newton and Hurts have combined for 1 between the 3 of them… it came in Newton’s rookie season. If you do not want to recognize how great he truly is, I just feel sorry you (and sports writers) are willing to miss it. -
Need a capable backup quarterback next season.

I guess my point with Kyle Allen is, he couldn’t produce the numbers Keenum did across 2 games? His career averages are better than that and he was on some talent depleted teams. Brissett is too good to sign with us. He’ll have the opportunity to sign with a team in QB purgatory because he’s good enough to start. It’ll be too hard to get that type of quality backup to sign here, because most want a chance to play. -
On Josh’s 15 rushing TDs, he scores from an average of 6 yards out. It’s pretty much a 50/50 split from inside the 5 and outside the 5. This isn’t Jalen Hurts getting carried in by his teammates 11 times from the 1 yard line. As for Damien Harris being the catalyst for Josh’s “misleading” TD numbers inside the 5… no. He has 8 from inside the 5 yard line and 5 of those have come the last 3 weeks… Damien Harris last played on 10/15. The last 3 weeks have been *must win* all that says to me is with our backs against the wall we want the ball in the hands of our best player.

You don’t think Kyle Allen could complete 64% of his passes for 291 yards, 1 TD and 3 INT across two games like Keenum? If Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky weren’t so incompetent, I think Rudolph would’ve been here next year. Supposedly we liked him a lot coming out in 2018. At this point he probably goes back to Pittsburgh with a chance to start. -
Is this possible? You can’t have more than 5-6 inactive players… this list has like 15 guys on it lol

He wasn’t covered up lol

Is it time to put out an Amber Alert on Dalton Kincaid?
JGMcD2 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
And he’s producing at a high level for a rookie TE? What does draft status have to do with it? His production has been congruent with the WR drafted ahead of him in RD1. What do Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans and OBJ have to do with Dalton Kincaid? Answer: Absolutely nothing -

You’re the one making it that way lol It’s ok for other players to be good. -

God forbid we mention Kincaid without mentioning LaPorta. As if LaPorta’s success means Kincaid is a bust. Outside of Mike Ditka, LaPorta is having arguably the greatest season ever by a rookie TE - it doesn’t mean Kincaid is bad or struggling this year. Looking at numbers quick (it should be noted that LaPorta will play 1 extra game than previous rookie TE as well as Kincaid due to injury) LaPorta has the most catches (81) all-time. Kincaid has 62 catches which is 6th all-time. He’ll likely finish top 5. Laporta will likely finish with the 3rd most yards. Kincaid will finish somewhere around 15 all-time. They’re featuring LaPorta much more, but Kincaid’s role is nothing to sneeze at. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
JGMcD2 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I vividly remember that play. I went to college in Massachusetts. I had one roommate who was also a Bills fan and the rest were Patriots fans - we all watched the game together. I was so fired up about that hit because it was absolute bull####. I love my friends, but in typical Masshole fashion they turned it into me being a sore loser, mocked the hit, etc. -

I remember that… it was a lengthy exchange by post-game standards. I vaguely remember being able to read Belichick’s lips. -
*TNF * New York Jets @ Cleveland Browns - 8:15 Prime Video
JGMcD2 replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
I understand that they don’t have a QB and that seems to be the excuse, which is somewhat valid. Although, you can look at some of the better coaches in the league when they haven’t had good QB play and they’re usually hovering around .500 during those seasons. Sean McDermott Kyle Shanahan Sean McVay Mike Tomlin Sean Payton Personally I think Saleh runs his mouth a little too much. The “keeping receipts” and “we’ll be playing them for a playoff spot” or even “we’ve embarrassed QBs”. I think that stuff is fine to say in the locker room, but he’s constantly spewing it to the media. -
The not so farfetched way the Bills miss the playoffs
JGMcD2 replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probable was a poor choice of words. It’s not mathematically probable for the Bills to miss the playoffs at 10-7. Don’t give him that much credit @Prospector -

If something is probable, there is a good chance that it will happen, but it is not certain. If there is a 90% chance of rain today, it is probable [=it is likely] that it will rain. The scenario outlined above has less than a 3% chance of occurring and you use the word probable? -
He was lighting the league up the first 9 weeks or so. It’s unlikely he just randomly hit a wall. There’s a pretty good chance he’s playing hurt… context clues seem to say so. His snap count the last 3 weeks has decreased around 25% from his season average (87% is season average and he’s around 62% since Philadelphia). There were a handful of early season games where the starters got pulled early too…

Seems like sound decision making 👍🏻

Yeah, I don’t think there’s a right answer to this. Some people love Brady’s style of leadership. There’s nothing wrong with it in my opinion, but it’s not my preferred style. I actually love the way Josh approaches things and would prefer to play for a guy like him. That’s just my preference. At the end of the day it comes down to that individual and them being their authentic self. Josh being more vocal, from what I understand, would be uncharacteristic for him. Which in turn, would have the opposite impact on his teammates when it is time to rally them. He’s a little more silent, he plays harder to get guys to play hard for him. If he does speak up, he usually goes after the other team, not his own team. I don’t know enough about Mahomes, but what he’s doing now doesn’t seem to mesh with how he’s typically been/been perceived. I think that’s the issue.

It’s not Jalen Hurts scoring from about 2 yards out on average. Josh is scoring from about 7 yards out on average. He’s not “punching it in” on QB sneaks like Brady or the Hurts tush push. He’s a legitimate threat to score from anywhere inside the 20. Fine, penalize him for using his legs. We’ll just ignore the shovel passes from Mahomes, Tua and Purdy inside the 5 too.
