  1. If an unforeseen act of God occurs, they’re not gaming anything. The travel ban was in effect for them as well. If anything, it would have been a disadvantage to make Buffalo prepare last minute to travel to Cleveland. They earned a home playoff game, is it really fair to make them go play at a neutral site on short notice? You’re starting to argue two different things, and that isn’t going to sit well with me.
  2. They were never playing Najee Harris in the snow. Their options were either move to Cleveland or move the game to Monday in Buffalo. There was a TRAVEL BAN issued by the Governor of New York. Do you understand what a travel ban is? A travel ban means roads are closed and that only emergency, or essential personnel should be allowed to travel (example, first responders). You could be ticketed by local law enforcement agencies if you are out driving during a travel ban. I love the Buffalo Bills as much as anybody, but I’m not too sure I’d consider them emergency or essential personnel. That also goes for the thousands of fans that would make an attempt to drive from the 15 surrounding counties under a state of emergency had the game not been moved by the Governor.
  3. This kind of stuff happens every week, multiple times a week. Fire McDermott, they say! It’ll make us better, they say!
  4. Imagine believing that it was an elaborate ruse by the Bills to lobby to the point where the Governor of New York declared a state of emergency in 15 counties 2 days before the playoff game was scheduled. They even went as far as having her declare a multi-county travel ban per their request!
  5. Doesn’t seem to be the case. It made a lot of sense for all of the reasons that I laid out. It’s not permanent, but takes pressure off both parties.
  6. Although Jones will be positioned to back up Darnold, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Cameron Wolfe note this will first be a practice squad agreement. Drinking the Kool-Aid @BillsFanForever19
  7. Lol I’m not saying that’s what is going to happen or that I think it’s what is going to happen. All I’m trying to do is illustrate the possible pathways for Daniel Jones. You thought the money was a factor, I was explaining that it wasn’t a factor at all. It’s solely fit and where Jones feels most comfortable.
  8. The paycheck doesn’t matter… that’s the whole point here. The Giants owe him all the money that was guaranteed to him. This is just a simplified example, say the Giants owe Jones $10M this year and Buffalo pays Jones $1M to sign to the PS, well now the Giants owe Jones $9M and Buffalo owes him $1M. He doesn’t get another $1M tacked on to the $10M the Giants owe him. He clearly wants to go somewhere that’s the best fit for him, you acknowledged that by saying he turned a chance to start for the Raiders down. If he determines signing with a contender on their PS is the best thing for him, the paycheck literally factors in 0%.
  9. Practice Squad is always an option. Similar to what we did with Kenny Stills, Devonta Freeman, Shaq Lawson, John Brown and Cole Beasley from 2020 - 2022. Jones knows he isn't going to start for a playoff contender, and he needs to be ready to play, but PS seems beneficial for everyone involved. Protects the club from doing too much shuffling with a delicate position and protects the player from having to play meaningful snaps without being up to speed. It's not money out of his pocket, whatever he makes just offsets the cost of what the Giants need to pay down on the remainder of his salary. Daniel Jones gets some stability, and a contender gets some insurance from someone who might (now) be the best backup QB in the league. If it's a good match, Jones could opt to sign a 1-year deal with the hope of rebuilding his value... similar to our own Mitch Trubisky his first go around in Buffalo. It didn't work out for Mitch in the long run, but short term, he got a decent little deal from Pittsburgh.
  10. I don't think he's expecting to play? When they said involved, they meant in the building and on the sidelines with a playoff contender.
  11. Don't look now, but Brandon Aubrey's FG% is lower than Tyler Bass...
  12. Colts over Lions Patriots over Dolphins Titans over Texans Broncos over Raiders Chargers over Ravens All of this is with the idea of making things harder on the Bengals to get in. Ravens and Texans losing help cement Bills seeding as well.
  13. When I originally started doing this, it was an attempt to make the discussion around the draft a little less subjective - I'm glad you feel this accomplishes that to some degree. The star/solid starter debate is definitely an insecurity with this, it is something I'd love to try and account for whenever I get the time to adjust. Here is 2019 - 2022 as requested!
  14. It's weighted (albeit imperfectly) by round. It tries to capture the value you're extracting relative to your peers based on the type of talent that should be on the board and how the rest of the league valued that talent.
  15. I was busy earlier in 2024, so I never got around to this. The bye week feels like a good time to update my analysis of league-wide draft success for the fourth time. I'm linking the previous three versions here. The old posts below explain the methodology and provide a snapshot of where teams stood at those points in time. These previous posts provide a nice little reminder that it's hard to judge draft classes until further down the road. 2021 League Wide Draft Success 2017-2019 - A Follow Up - The Stadium Wall Archives - Two Bills Drive 2022 *UPDATED* Draft Success - Measured by AV - The Stadium Wall - Two Bills Drive 2023 Draft Success Measured by AV - Part III I don't have any information to add the 2024 draft, but the 2023 draft is below. I'm not including it in the cumulative view just yet, but giving a preview as to what it looks like...
  16. It’s amazing to me that I keep seeing references to the fact he relies on social media to make decisions… there’s not 1 Jets fan yearning for more Woody Johnson involvement. He should listen to that…
  17. It was poorly thought out at the time as well, just bad in general.
  18. I just want to make sure that this doesn't go ignored. Terrible, terrible post.
  19. Gunner, can you explain a little bit what you’ve seen with Grable and what you may project his career arc to look like?
  20. Evan McPherson (71.4%) CIN Justin Tucker (72.7%) BAL Younghoe Koo (73.1%) ATL Jake Elliott (73.7%) PHI Joshua Karty (80.0%) LAR 2 Division Leaders, 2 Division/Wild Card contenders and another Wild Card hopeful. Bass is also clicking at a better clip than Jake Moody, Josh Myers and Ka’imi Fairbarin.
  21. There are other playoff teams with a far worse kicking situation and a higher waiver priority.
  22. Josh Allen Hawaiian shirt. It’s now 9-0.
  23. Oh yeah, made the comment that if McDermott doesn't get to the AFCCG this year we're better off going with ANYONE else. I went back and looked at his post history from 2017... his ideal hire when we settled on McDermott was Todd Haley. The whole notion of thinking "just anyone" will have a better shot is ridiculous, because you know, it ignores the fact that we're more likely to end up with a dud than we are Shanahan or McVay... which by the way, McDermott occupies the same tier.
  24. Where's the guy that wanted Todd Haley instead?
