  1. What YOU see or what YOU don't see means nothing. Why do fans expect transparency into things like discipline, hard coaching, trade talks, etc.?
  2. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It makes everything so clear. It's also much easier than deciding in real time with limited info.
  3. No surprise to most, except for In Nate We Trust.
  4. I'm 50, so still catching up to "epic".
  5. Mike, I'm sure you're a fine person but I really dislike how you do your job.
  6. Asked? I don't care if he put a gun to Beane's head and demanded. That was a disastrous trade based on a completely bungled evaluation of Peterman.
  7. Exactly how Mike Schopp says he should.
  8. Can you clarify, what are you blaming Crossman for? Ray's fumbles or blocking screwup?
  9. I'll take this, but in reverse order. Call me Al Davis.
  10. On this roster, that one play alone probably nets Thomas another start (vs. inactive) this week.
  11. Well enough to be willing to put up a false flag.
  12. Kahn is taking regionalization to a whole new level. I don't think the other owners will be united on this one. The competition issues are pretty significant.
  13. So, I guess the grand scheme favors style points over wins? I'll take the micro-scheme.
  14. Agree, but can Murphy make the BIG play when needed as Shady has done? That asked, I'm torn about trading Shady - mostly about the message it may send to the locker room about what's "good enough" this year.
  15. Haven't heard of him. Get er done!
  16. Thread title: "Offensive scheme changed to determine Allen's grasp" Sounds pretty definitive, right? Then you read the first line of thread: "I believe..." I hate fake news masquerading as truth.
  17. I haven't figured out how to get out of Hammers quickly. I've pretty much given up on that possibility.
  18. This is the kind of refined, highly nuanced take that I come to TSW for.
  19. What part of McD's quote removes accountability from the culture equation?
  20. Flying in for Bills games can yield some interesting encounters. Met Jerry Hughes' dad on a flight in from Houston. It was before his extension, and I told him his son was soon to be a very rich man. Ran into Cornelius Bennett in Atlanta during a layover. More precisely I kind of stalked him in the terminal before getting the courage to say hi and introducing him to my son. Met Marv Levy in the Bflo airport when flying home from an opener, and sat across the aisle from him on the Southwest flight into Chicago Midway (yes, he flew Southwest).
