  1. Thanks guys, and Mark Gaughan's article this AM confirms that there was safety coverage on Shelton in the EZ... "After two 1-yard Henry runs, Bledsoe made a play-action fake and looked to the left flat for fullback Daimon Shelton. But Jaguars safety Deke Cooper read the play and blanketed Shelton. Bledsoe had to hold on for a sack and the Bills settled for a 25-yard field goal to make it 10-6. " Can't blame Drew for that, he made the right decision there and salvaged 3 points.
  2. I thought he could have lofted the ball over the pass rusher. Maybe it was that the timing of the rush would have made Drew throw it too early & Shelton hadn't turned yet.
  3. In the 4th quarter, on the 3rd down play in the red zone when Bledsoe ate the ball and got sacked, why did Bledsoe not throw to Shelton (as it appears he was the intended receiver)? On TV it LOOKED like Shelton was open but he hadn't turned and looked for the ball yet so Drew ate it. Can someone who was at the game tell me if there was a safety or linebacker defending Shelton (possibly out of the camera view)? I'd especially like to hear from those poor souls who were at the Ralph & not TV viewers.
  4. Both Criqui and especially Tasker were bending over backwards to sahow they weren't pro-Bills. We can't blame them for the loss tho.
  5. Kelso, you are a simplistic moron in search of a scapegoat. Reread this thread a few times and you'll see that all of your anti-Drew arguments have been seriously refuted.
  6. I love WM's vision, body lean and patience. He is the type of back that always seems to get an extra 2+ yards after he's hit. Would have like to have seen him earlier, or in a formation with Henry. Maybe they have not yet figured out a way to get them on the field at the same time.
  7. Oh great, now you tell me as the puddle under me grows ever larger.....
  8. Agree Piss. It would be nice to do something other than run every time on 1st down.
  9. Yes, the last 10 people living in Buffalo (are there even 10 left?) will be looking to slit their wrists tonight.
  10. NFL.com, Field Pass
  11. Not interested in perfection, just a win once in awhile.
  12. I agree Coach. It's tough to swallow - I'm just glad I didn't actually spend hundreds of dollars and fly there for the game! Jax won NO road games last year and they come in and win at the Ralph on opening day? I'm beginning to wonder if a Buffalo team will ever win anything.
  13. Drew is NOT a new QB. He is the same QB with a different O philosophy & coaching. He played fine, as he would have most of last year were it not for Killdrive.
  14. Clements is an above average corner and a great athelete. Unfortunately, he needs to compete a bit harder and yes, he did get the ball pulled from him by Smith 2X today. On the long pass he should have just knocked the ball away instead of trying to catch it. Troy Vincent acknoweledged as much in the post game interview.
  15. Yes, Mularkey made the right decision and yes, the Bills need a new kicker.
  16. Love your avatar but hate what the caption implies about W. TR's critics said the same things about him when he carried his big stick.
  17. Been up since 2:30. Wondering if Mularkey slept well.....
  18. 4ever Bills, I just reread your post and I have 2 things to say: 1) Find a bag and breathe deeply into it for about 10 minutes. 2) I hope you're 100% right. Go Bills!!!!!!!!
  19. If the defense is solid, then I think it's an indication (although not an ironclad one since we are at home) that the D will be good again this year. Offensively, I'm looking for coherent play calling, clock/game management from Mularkey, and ability to run the ball. While a good passing game wouldn't be a "season indicator" for me since the Jags have not been strong on the pass rush, if we can run the ball it augurs well (been waiting to say "augurs") for our new approach on offense. Oh, and well-timed and SUCCESSFUL gadget plays wouldn't hurt, either.
  20. May God continue to bless America.........
  21. I'll be at home too. You make the best of it but its not quite the same.
  22. Listening to the Dolphins pregame show on NFL Field Pass. I'm falling asleep. It sounds like two guys covering a funeral after having been sleep deprived for 2 days. What a difference from the Bills pregame - where you have energy, passion, humor. Either we are really spoiled, or the Miami media realize they are in deep doo-doo this year.
  23. WOW LA, you are the MAN.
  24. The celebration rule in the NFL. Celebrating does not materiallly affect the outcome game in any real sense, yet its prohibited.
