  1. Promo = assclown Nobody is trying to salvage Drew's career for it's own sake. It's not about Drew, it's about WINS. This argument betrays a personal hatred against Drew that is both irrational and Freudian. Protect the ball = points = wins = Drew's not so bad after all Fumbles and missed FG's = 10 pts = loss = Drew is the devil What passes as serious analysis on this board is pathetic and highly simplistic scapegoating. What a joke.
  2. AKC, what is your background? You certainly have all the buzzwords down and it looks like you have put in some study time here but why should I buy your analysis (other than because I don't have the time to do this myself)?
  3. I wouldn't trust the Buffalo News or Roch Dem & Chronicle to soak up my dog's pee.
  4. "I honestly think he is trying hard to get this turned around." Did you REALLY think he wasn't? I have doubts about a number of things with this team, but that's not one of them.
  5. This is an outstanding test of what we are really looking at this year. Appears to me that we have decent talent and the coaching won't kill us. The final (maybe most important) question is - do we have the heart of champions or do we not?
  6. Like doing the wave when the Bills have the ball...
  7. Thus shagging becomes more important. Yeah baby, yeah....
  8. Do you people have spouses/kids (that you can travel for days to a game?) Jeez, maybe I'm just whipped.
  9. OK, forget about how many points he may have cost us. How many points was he responsible for? I don't hate the guy, I just think our standards are too low for a guy that's supposed to be a superstar. Example: What did Terrell Owens do for the Eagles on Sunday (2 TD catches?) THAT'S the impact I'm talking about.
  10. The man has the star mystique, Pro Bowls and fan following but what have you done for me lately dude? True he was hurt last year but the only difference he made Sunday was getting us beat (2 fumbles, 1 on the 7 yard line). Quit playing soft and make some plays that give us the W. Until I see some of that, EM is on my overrated list.
  11. Steve I thought about that too - if Gray was on the sideline he could have reminded the DB's at the end to just knock down the ball - or not. Overall, though, he's better off upstairs where he can see the entire play, Where he's the most comfortable is where he should be and that's upstairs.
  12. Now for the important question - as for that 3" visco topper thing, how is it for shagging? I mean, is it like doing it in quicksand? Does it allow for some "bounce", if ya know what I mean? As for a good night's sleep, I've always found Bills wins good for that.
  13. Just play TKO, just play.
  14. Good post Bills fan, wish I had thought of that.
  15. See Stevestojan thread.....
  16. We were 1-0 last year and what did it get us? NADA All that matters is how we come back.
  17. This gets my vote as the most irrelevant thread of the year.
  18. I knew someone would sift through the BS and get to the real purpose of my post.
  19. Think what a different tone there would be here if the last play was ruled out of bounds. Amazing what a few inches will do. There's a fine line between wins and losses and we were on the wrong end Sunday. If we had won, the fumbles, attempts at interceptions, prevent defenses and missed FG's would have been glossed over. Even in our glory years the above things happened. Look back at the scores - blow outs were the exceptions, not the rule. My point is, this loss REALLY hurt because we are a struggling franchise right now. But let's not blow it out of proportion, we are not as bad as the naysayers say. Week 1 matters but it's not the end-all. What good did the 31-0 win vs. Pats do for us in week 17 last year? Nothing. What matters is how we do this week and in week 4. REAL champions (Pats?) live to fight another day. Will this Bills team live to fight another day? The answer to that question is the most important one of the season, not who can we bring in to replace Lindell (who missed 1 kick) , or how can we get LeBeau back? If we show some heart in the next few weeks and get some bounces, we can pull off a 9-7 or 10-6 finish. It's all about heart.
  20. Of course I meant our OFFENSE moving the ball!
  21. Anyone that does the wave when our team has the ball should be forcibly removed from the stadium. Having said that, if our defense can't move the ball at home with a few idiots doing the wave, then we haven't a prayer on the road where the other team's fans are making noise for real.
  22. Based on what we all saw in the game up to that point, is Lindell from 51 a better percentage than putting the game in the hands of the #2 ranked defense with Leftwich throwing into the wind? Sweet Lord.
  23. This game will determine the psyche for the rest of the year. We have a very beatable opponent on the road. If we win we have reversed our fortunes and suddenly everyone buys into MM's program and we have a new beginning. We have momentum going into the bye and NE on deck. If we lose, it will be a close game (they ALL will be, with our conservative O and stingy D) and everyone's conclusion will be that the 2004 Bills will be consistently competitive losers who don't know how to win. That MM is the same as GW. This game is huge folks! Let's see how they respond.
  24. I agree with the post above. They are a different team this year. Just how much of a barometer was Week 1 last year? None. I think those not blasting the Bills are just as disappointed as everyone else. And yes, there is a time to be brutally honest with ourselves, but it is a bit early right now. If we win at Oakland and go to the bye at 1-1, we are back in the running. If we go in 0-2, I agree it will be a long year where we will be consistently competitive losers like last year.
