Tim, do you know if any of your colleagues has done a research piece on the frequency of injuries on teams with "Tampa 2" schemes vs. other defenses? Intuitively it seems that smaller, quicker players that epitomize the "Tampa 2" scheme might go down at a higher rate than their larger counterparts. My choices in order would be: 1) Jeff Fisher - all around great coach (if the Titans make a dumb move and fire him) 2) Mike Leach - his offensive creativity would bring some level of interest to this team - this selection has Brandon written all over it. 3) Marty Schottenheimer - just knows how to win (ok, at least knows how to get to the playoffs and is friends with Buddy). The problem is, our coaching options are limited because of the weak front office - what coach realistically would want to come to Buffalo and work with/for this group?

Two thoughts: 1) Funny that of all places this item was found in USA today. I guess the WNY-based publications are all busy writing their variations of the "This Byrd Flies High" story. 2) I've never seen an organization so obsessed with switching players from their natural positions. Is this just a symptom of the front office's inability to stock the roster with talent - i.e., the coaches desperately trying to make lemonaid out of the lemons they're given by the front office?

Nice plan but it's not in chronological order. You need to accomplish #8 before #1 can happen. Unless you revamp the organization, you will not even attract quality HC candidates.
