  1. I can't say ALL will be forgiven. Highly overrated as a coach, disaster as GM - but we finally found one thing he accomplished: finding Fred Jackson.
  2. Further evidence that RALPH IS CHEAP! One way of looking at this: the one regular season game in Toronto each year pays for Fitz's new contract.
  3. You might want to look and see what your local Fox affiliate has showing in that time slot. In my case, the local Fox affiliate is showing the Bills so I just set my DVR to record there.
  4. Dumb thread on so many levels.
  5. Stunning. C'mon Arthur Moats!
  6. +1000 I would worry about the franchise if they STOPPED playing games in Toronto. Those thinking to the contrary must, I repeat must get their heads out of the sand.
  7. It is regionalizing as defined by the Bills CEO. Google is my friend Google is my friend part 2 By "viable" I mean, a franchise that can remain in its existing market, despite being in an area that buys only 40,000 season tickets AT THE LOWEST TICKET PRICE IN THE NFL. A franchise that is able to survive under these conditions MUST regionalize by any means possible. To believe otherwise is to be the NFL-fan equivalent of a flat-earther.
  8. Understandable that you don't like the Toronto game, but you do realize this (regionalizing) is a key part of what makes the franchise financially viable in Buffalo, right?
  9. Never said it did. To be clear, I don't think Fitz's arm strength is an issue. My point with that post was, THAT throw (the Youtube throw) doesn't prove a strong arm.
  10. That was only about 50 in the air. It might make your case in high school ball, but not in the NFL.
  11. Agree, I've not heard anyone (smart) attribute those picks to a lack of arm strength. And for good reason.
  12. Levitre was again a beast - moving over to LT from G in the fourth quarter, and playing well, was gutsy.
  13. I disagree - six games is not a sufficient sample size with which to judge a team's gutsiness.
  14. You might think I'm crazy but when Spiller ran around the right end against the Eagles last week, he looked a lot to me like OJ. I think he's gonna be just fine.
  15. Esmonde article Donn Esmonde's column this morning quotes Andrew Zimbalist, who Esmonde says is "among America’s foremost authorities on the business of sports." Zimbalist says, “Wilson can sign a lease tomorrow and say the franchise is committed to spending the next 10 or 20 years in Buffalo, and any new owner would be bound to that,” said Zimbalist. “But I don’t think he’d do that, because the team is worth more somewhere else.” Interesting that Zimbalist refers to the concept I brought up by posting this thread (where the terms of the next lease WILL survive Ralph). So theoretically it sounds like my concept could work. Now the question is, WOULD Ralph actually do this? I do also think its interesting that Ralph seems to be in more of a hurry to lock in the new lease than does the County (if media reports are to be believed.)
  16. This matchup is "Big Blue" vs. "Out of the Blue". GO BILLS!
  17. Could not agree more, OP. Our D went from the minor leagues to seasoned pros with the additions of Barnett and Merriman. Kudos once again to Jim Overdorf for tweaking the roster so effectively.
  18. Agreed! Over the last month or so I've taken both my kids back to Bflo and they are both on me BIG TIME to move us back!
  19. Also, "major" should not be capitalized.
  20. True but by signing them now you get the inside track on extending, if you think it's to your advantage.
  21. It's not just Jones who's injured though. Don't forget Easley and Roscoe. If Buddy has doubts about one or both of them returning next year, why not make a move to bolster the position overall? I have no trouble with that.
  22. Kyle's a stud and a real pro.
  23. Correct, but the fact is that the Bills do not currently command, relative to the rest of the league, even mid-tier prices on seats, premium seats or private suites. The same is most likely true for advertising revenue as well. Whatever the reasons (and I believe they are valid) the Bills have made a very carefuly calculation in setting their prices, and that is directly related to the economic strength of the market they're in. Great post, thanks.
