Not sure what prompts a statement like this. I watched today, but it was joyless. I had hope going into last week, but it was completely stolen before sundown last Sunday.

Let's remember that Buddy tried to land Robert Meachem last offseason so obviously he thought an upgrade of the WR corps was in order.

Those fans may not say that, because they hold their teams to a higher standard. Sadly, Bills fans can't even say "at least we went to the playoffs this decade" even if we wanted to!

One thing really nagging at me is this team's horrible inefficiency on short yardage running plays. When was the last time we lined up with a 3rd and 1 and actually got the first down on a running play? I know many of you will respond by saying that the long timeframe is caused by Chan always going empty backfield and throwing on third downs. But seriously, BEFORE CHAN STARTED THIS TENDENCY, when was the last time we got a tough first down on the ground?

Think carefully about this. I'm raising my son a Bills fan - we watch on TV every week, and I fly him to a few games a year. He's hooked. I enjoy watching with him, but the losses are adding up and they really eat at him. Plus being in Houston, he gets teased at school for his Bills fandom. It's sad to watch and I definitely have second thoughts about putting this ball and chain on him.

Clearly, you do have a point. Stevie dropped a few today, Dickerson dropped a potentially big gainer, Jones came up weak, and Jones dropped a TD last week against the Dolphins. But...Fitz's miss to Spiller deep, and Jones deep, cost us big. Just too many missed plays from weak overall talent. Is it too simplistic to say that outside of Spiller we we don't have enough consistent playmakers on O?

If you're mad at our #1 for not having #1 speed, you MUST blame the GM for not getting a legit #1. Blaming a guy for his genetics is not exactly insightful diagnosis of the team's problems. And it definitely doesn't get you any closer to winning.

The answer is, not applicable. Spiller gets most of his yards on vision, balance and acceleration. Just watch FJ in comparison. BTW, to illustrate my point...in his heyday, when did FJ average 7.6? Right, he never did.

It takes a brilliant offensive mind to take a 7.6 ypc runner, and lose. 7.6 ypc is historic proportions, folks.
