  1. Great articles on Kelly and I'm sold. This guy would really propel us into the modern era and I'm ready to be all in on him.
  2. Serves me right for even opening this thread. Of course I was expecting something substantive.
  3. Really? Recruiting and selecting a HC candidate is a much different skill and task from scouting and ranking college players, and from evaluating pro personnel. There are lots of discrete roles available for Whaley and Nix - in fact most NFL teams segment college scounting from pro personnel.
  4. I agree, that makes sense - it ensures legitimacy of Brandon's ascendency. This move also sets the stage for a clean transition of ownership.
  5. No - WGR 20-20 sports just reported "Nix expected to met with Ralph tonight in Detroit". Not sure if that was just sloppy recycling of earlier erroneous reports, or an actual clarification/update.
  6. Lovie with a strong OC (a guy who can develop QBs) would far and away be my pick, of all the names being floated.
  7. That is a major oversimplification. Too many contributing factors to count. On the business side, he's the best thing that ever happened to the franchise. And you might say you don't care about that, but you have to if you want the Bills to stay in town.
  8. Whaley IS lined up. Again, my point was not about Nix specifically. It was, how can you line up HC interviews if you're not sure who your GM (the guy picking the HC) is?
  9. Feeling a bit vindicated on this point. You can't multitask as far as bringing in coaching candidates when the guy selecting them isn't settled.
  10. Well yea but who makes the HC decision if the GM is up in the air? In this case if Nix goes it will probably fall to Whaley so not much time would be lost in the process I suppose.
  11. So they reach out to Gruden and supposedly start lining up HC interviews before Nix's status is settled?
  12. Most likely a Rooney Rule interview, IMO.
  13. Great, continuity!
  14. Was surprised to read that Grimm was actually interviewed last time. I thought he turned the Bills down. Goes to show how little the public really knows about what goes on inside OBD.
  15. Phoenix radio tweeting that Russ Grimm interviewing with Buffalo. What do we think?
  16. One of the on-air guys reported it. They didn't play audio of Levitre actually speaking.
  17. Not sure. WGR reported that when asked how much he'd like to be back in Buffalo on a scale of 1-10, he said "10". That's not a guy chasing top dollar as his sole priority.
  18. Ralph proves again he's not cheap. Eating lots of salary there.
  19. The fact that Reid even WANTS to continue his career at this point, after his mess of a personal life, is a bit psychotic in itself, IMO.
  20. "Brandon was right, son, best sightlines in the league"!
  21. He'd risk a leak to Bills fandom about his private will, just to save $10,000 on the production bill?
  22. Maybe because there is no story? When the sale happens, I suspect there will be no advance word (other than the usual generic rumors) until a presser is announced. The players involved are likely too seasoned to risk jeopardizing the sale by leaking anything ahead of time.
