  1. Bumping this now, before I forget. Get your DVRs ready guys!
  2. Not saying I don't believe you, but how do you know this?
  3. Sorry, gotta vote for the white. Much more classic looking.
  4. You mean the millions of unwashed masses too ignorant to join this forum?
  5. Just spoke to customer retention and got the $15 for 15 discount, and ST for free. It got a bit rough when the first attempt yielded only half off ST, then I asked what the termination fee would be. After the agent calculated it & I said I'd have to think about cancelling, he asked what it would take to satisfy me and I then got what I wanted. Turned out to be a $445 savings for a 20 minute call. As others have said in past years, the key is asking for customer retention. I like this thread.
  6. I'll be interested to see if the Bills have any inside track here, considering that Bill Conaty is Bamiro's agent.
  7. Who's making this projection, other than you?
  8. I've set my DVR already but will try to remember. Such pressure!
  9. Wednesday July 17 @ 2:30 am EST. Not exactly prime time.
  10. I'm looking at Aug 4, 5 or later that week. Should be a nice escape from the heat.
  11. Editorial comment: this is always one of my favorite threads of the year. Always looking for a new angle to use with DTV. Carry on...
  12. Agree, but this is what desperation looks like.
  13. Not saying I don't believe you, but I wonder what criteria DTV uses to validate your claim that your team "stinks" and thus you deserve a discount. For example, how do they know you're really a Bills fan and not a 49ers fan? Does a 2-2 preseason record suffice to prove "stinkiness" of your team or does your team need to go 1-3 or worse? Does DTV put a lot of stock in preseason as a gauge of your team's crappiness or do they look at past seasons' records? Or is the whole thing really just a bizarre game where the rep at the other end just spins a wheel or flips a coin and then tells you what if any discount you "deserve"?
  14. I agree. Come 1:00 on Sept. 8th, I will be standing at my seat waiting for kickoff, spine tingling, fully embracing the possibility that we can and will beat the Pats*. I don't care if we go another 13 years without sniffing the playoffs - I start every year with similar expectations and I hope I never lose that hope.
  15. You have to like this type of humility coming from the #16 pick. It's a great sign.
  16. Unless you did it, in which case you'd be home free.
  17. The day before the season opener two years ago (alumni weekend), I ran into Cornelius Bennett at a bookstore in the Atlanta airport. Turns out he was on his way to the opener also. He was very nice and smiled as I explained to my son what an incredible player he was.
  18. Born in South Buffalo and it goes back as far as I can recall. Had cousins in Hamburg and as a 5-6 year old I recall being intrigued that they lived in the shadow of the stadium. My first game was Bills-Colts, Fergy vs. Bert Jones in 1977, a freezing November day. Even though they lost, I was permanently hooked.
  19. Jeez, every time Aaron rents a car, people die.
  20. Not sure if a jury of Pats* fans will convict him, but the timeline shown in the Yahoo story as laid out by the prosecutor is very compelling.
  21. No argument there. I'm just commenting on the day's proceedings from Aaron's point of view.
  22. Imagine losing an $8 million a year job AND being charged with murder. That's a bad day.
  23. I wonder if this moves the line on the home opener.
