  1. Similar procedure for the opener I assume?
  2. I said this in another thread but it seems relevant here too: QB playing time vs. the Lions could be something to watch as a true indicator of EJ's chances of playing in the opener. My read would be, if EJ truly projects to be unavailable for week 1, Tuel plays LESS vs. the Lions because he's the closest thing they have to a game-ready QB and they don't want him hurt for the Pats* game. Curious to hear others' opinions on this.

  4. Will be there with Billnut Jr again. Last year at the opener we were filmed by NFL network while playing catch at Hammers. Can lightning strike twice in the same spot?
  5. 1) EJ has missed no mental reps. 2) If he has at least a week to practice, he is physically ready to play. 3) I'm not flying half way across the country to watch Jeff Tuel.
  6. Because reporters have to write stories and a GM's or coach's quotes add instant credibility to your story, no matter how disingenuous the answer may be in reality. I'm sure most reporters will tell you that GMs and coaches alike answer questions with some kernels of truth in them, however they also try not to let themselves answer a question in a way that undermines their team or gives away any competitive advantage. Even while participating in pressers, coaches never stop coaching and GMs never stop GM'ing. SSh! You're going to ruin the ongoing "Buddy was terrible, Doug's a genius!" narrative.
  7. Put yourself in the GM's chair answering that question from Rapoport. What are you supposed to say? No, we don't think we hit on anything with Jeff Tuel. He's just a camp arm and I can't believe you even asked me that question.
  8. I thought Jamaal Westerman set the edge well vs. the run when he was in the game. The fact that I noticed him was unexpected.
  9. Well said. The situation we are in is tough, but it's not the result of any choice on his part. Being a kitty is willful; Kolb's situation is simply that his body was not made to play NFL football.
  10. Westerman looks pretty good to me - consistently sets the edge.
  11. When does Smith NOT hesitate running it out? Not sure I've ever seen him run full speed.
  12. Wonder why Goodwin didn't dive? Looked like he could have had it.
  13. So you're saying he made the team?
  14. Every bounce today has gone to the Skins.
  15. Ball was coming loose before the knee was down.
  16. Hope you're at your friend's house.
