  1. The question is, how much of that is directly related to the fast offense, it's struggles and the resulting time of possession imbalance?
  2. I said the loss didn't help. So you're thinking it did? Easy, bro.
  3. Geno DID throw sideline patterns in bounds, unlike EJ.
  4. Since you don't care what I say, I won't burden you with my opinion.
  5. Question: can anyone remember ANY screens run by this offense in either the regular season or preseason?
  6. McKelvin, Urbik, Spiller and Dareus losses don't help.
  7. The cherry on top would have been if Stevie had continued to head toward the crowd in the endzone, like he started to just after he caught the ball. At first he was headed right toward the camera, then decided to take a knee.
  8. What Rivera was really saying, without saying the words, is that HE got tricked. Love it.
  9. It's ironic that the longer Byrd sits due to his condition, the more he actually validates the Bills' side in the contract negotiations. Not saying Byrd is faking, just that his condition validates the Bills' decision to wait and see how this year plays out before paying above the tag value for his services.
  10. Let me guess - only child?
  11. Has he played ANY offensive snaps yet? Has looked good on special teams.
  12. EJ is "throwing his receivers open" in his second NFL game. Top half of the league in QBR so far. And how about his upside with a coach who's willing to coach him hard, and a kid with the demeanor to accept that hard coaching? I'll leave the nitpicking to others. EJ's play so far is a huge validation that the organization made the right decision, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
  13. This was my take. I assumed that Carpenter was directed to squib it deep (out of the range where Newton could reach the endzone in the air) and inadvertently kicked it right to the player who fielded it.
  14. We could make similar arguments about the circumstances in the closing seconds of many Bills losses. We've paid our dues and it was our day to win.
  15. Funny, I did the same. After checking 4 stores in the area I was unable to find a Labatt's 12 and had to settle for Bud. Maybe we've stumbled on the answer!
  16. Unfortunately, I agree with you. The only problem is, Buffalo's relatively small and poor fanbase doesn't give the Bills the luxury of increasing their price points. In fact, other threads have stated the Bills are offering discounts on many of the remaining games, essentially guaranteeing mayhem all season.
  17. I like how Marrone played it - we can and will get better. Didn't act overly impressed (of course he was also dealing with the loss of his friend) which is the right tone to strike, IMO.
  18. This has been my experience as well. I simply do not understand why those club holders bother to come out to the game, then sit inside and pretend they're at their neighborhood Chili's.
  19. Better hands on Hogan than Easley? That last play was a possession-type play, not a speed play.
  20. Since when is checking down inherently bad? Do you prefer interceptions?
  21. He was ballin today. I also saw good pressure and most of all, consistent effort. Pettine has him playing.
  22. Scary to think how good this D could be when Gilmore and Byrd return. And if our O stops giving up short fields to the other team. It could be a fun 2nd half to the season.
  23. Two games in I'd say McKelvin is playing lights out this year. Period.
