  1. Why should the Bills be perennially stuck with bargain basement ticket prices with no opportunity to expand revenues?
  2. Silly me, I thought if Stevie didn't fumble we would have won. Exactly why it would be nice for Bills fans to pack the Rogers Center.
  3. I agree completely, but surely Bills fans have some responsibility in this, no? Why don't more Bills fans buy those tickets and MAKE it a home game if it's so important? Here's what I hear from Bills fans: - win more games - acquire high priced free agents and big name coaches - keep ticket prices among the lowest in the league - don't worry about expanding your market, just keep the status quo at all cost (I.e., just keep playing in my backyard) - no, I won't go to Toronto to support my team - the next owner BETTER keep the team here, because we're the best fans in the NFL.
  4. Since you choose to make the sweeping general statement that we can't win there, I presume you mean that Stevie fumbled because we played north of the border. I choose to not buy into that logic, because it's clear to me that that fumble was pivotal to the outcome of that game. Any other analysis is driven by emotion rather than logic.
  5. Joke all you like, but regionalization is essential if there's going to even BE a Buffalo Bills under the next owner.
  6. This is crushing news. Not sure whether I'm more disappointed about Crossman specifically, or over what this means about Marrone''s real prospects for succeeding long term.
  7. So, are you saying that if Stevie hadn't fumbled, we still would have found a way to lose because, obviously, the location of the game was much more determinative than the fumble?
  8. True, thus a big hit on the boards (pardon the pun) and in the parking lots. Marginally cute among friends in a locker room, but coming up from behind like that is not exactly a serious display of dominance.
  9. Clearly his game as a free safety is field coverage and interceptions, not big hits. Think Steve Freeman and Mark Kelso.
  10. Personally, I believe the commitment is there. It's the execution that's lacking. Sounds like you're accidentally referring to how the Packers used to play in Milwaukee.
  11. This is correct. Rarely is a starter SO consistently bad that the task of evaluation is easy. I know of several Bills QBs that I thought played well in short stretches, and those stretches gave me hope that the future progression would continue. I have to look no further than the Fitz an Edwards jerseys in my closet to validate this.
  12. I'm reading it the same way. Seems to validate what we've all seen. Crossman's status going forward will be a good test of Marrone's commitment to accountability. Does it apply to players only, or are coach-friends exempt? .
  13. No sources are cited on the linked page. I'd like to know the source of this "data".
  14. Why, exactly? I love this team because they're in my blood, but I can't say I'm proud of them.
  15. Yea, and jumping offsides there didn't help.
  16. I voted other - Crossman. More a hope than a likelihood, however.
  17. That settles it for me - we must pick a QB in either the first or second round to solidify the position.
  18. Sorry but wins and losses come down to actual football plays - this cannot be refuted. The Stevie and Chandler fumbles were the key plays that caused the loss. I've yet to hear how playing in Toronto caused those fumbles.
  19. For some reason my quote function is not working, but FireChan sure blew up this thread. He is dead on. This is a sensitive topic for me because although I have moved out of the area, I still support the team through season tickets. I hate not being able to attend most games so it burns me to see whiny, entitled local fans complain about Toronto and then leave seats empty at the Ralph. These will be the same ones voicing their outrage the loudest once the next owner realizes that Buffalo won't give him enough return on his investment. They'll swear that "The Man" did it to them again.
  20. Give me a break - the Bills are not even trying to run in that race. How many investor groups are salivating at the opportunity to run a franchise in an area that commands the lowest ticket and suite prices in the league? Do you not think that cultivating the Toronto market, or even attempting to, has any impact on where the next owner decides to locate the team?
  21. I guess people just see what they want to see. What I see is, if Stevie covers up the Bills win and the premise of the thread is out the window.
  22. The facts don't support the premise. I'm still not clear on how the Rogers Center caused Stevie to fumble.
  23. OK with all due respect, your logic is completely circular and nonsensical. The Toronto series in essence takes tickets off the market. Yet even when they reduce ticket supply by having games in TO, Buffalo still can't generate sufficient demand to sell out all of its games at the Ralph. So your remedy is, add even MORE ticket supply and ticket demand will magically explode as a result? How many tickets would you buy to the extra home game - more than you usually buy?
  24. Agree. This game will be a pretty big stage for the Bills considering they're playing a marquee opponent at home heading into the playoffs. Of course if the Bills win, the narrative in the media will be "what happened to NE"? but if the Bills win you can bet that football people and agents will be taking note of the fact that the Bills are on the rise.
