  1. In his interview with John Murphy last night, Aaron Williams said Byrd would "love" to be back with the Bills. I think Jairus is just separating his business considerations from his personal feelings.
  2. Sunglasses at night games, in the Canadian "subdivision".
  3. Any response to the Bills putting the Toronto series on a one year hiatus and the Aaron Williams extension? Does this fit into the "same old Bills" paradigm?
  4. My main reaction after processing this, is fear. How can an NFL team in Buffalo be sustainable long term with ticket prices on that scale?
  5. Maybe, maybe not. I do worry when I read posts from people bragging about only watching from home. I'm sure every fanbase has their share of fans with an "entitlement mentality", but the Bills can't afford many of those.
  6. Great move - extend before he hits peak market value.
  7. So is this a segregation-type thing? Like the WW II Japanese internment camps?
  8. Its clear from reading many of the posts here...many are all about what the team can do for them. They are not supporters, only takers. Pretty much a microcosm of society at large. "Ask not what you can do for your team, but what your team can do for you." Sad but true.
  9. Wait, aren't all the Bills decisions about money?
  10. Oh, it'll change all right. It might change so much that all of your Sunday afternoons are freed up.
  11. It's what he has said, and what Whaley has said Schwartz told him, just in the last day or so.
  12. Do you expect him to weep in sadness about Buffalo and weaken his negotiating position? He's playing the game.
  13. Brilliant! You figured it out! According to your logic the Mario deal would have to trigger 10,000 new season ticket holders to keep seats for 10 years just to break even. You so smart!
  14. Would you disagree that the Bills' business success is a precondition to their success on the field? If not, then why vilify the man who has greatly improved the Bills' business performance? If you choose to not believe Whaley when he said they made a substantial offer, then your mind is simply not open to anything contrary to your entrenched opinion.
  15. Yes, this is how it will go under Brandon. It will continue to go this way until we can find management who can compel players to sign what is put in front of them. Sadly, until that day, it will take two to make agreements.
  16. OP: what info do you have that leads you to say in an informed manner that the Bills "decided not to pay" Jairus Byrd? $10 M/ year over 3 years is "deciding not to pay" for a free safety?
  17. Think of the motivation behind leaking the news that "Bills unlikely to tag Byrd". Who's interest does that serve? I think it serves Byrd's camp. In the hours leading up to the deadline, why not try to enflame the masses and put pressure on the Bills? What would get Bills have to gain by leaking this? I don't see where it helps the Bills in any way.
  18. Yup, piece of cake. Show me the long list of teams willing to pay $11-12M a year for a free safety.
  19. I consider $30m for three years a commitment. How do you define commitment?
  20. So offering Byrd $10m a year for 3 years is "letting him leave". Got it.
  21. Sure it's part of her responsibility. Where in the article does it say Brandon is not involved, or that Owen alone runs that part of the business? Might that be because she was responding to a question that was specifically about regionalization?
  22. Interesting way of putting it. Yes, I believe his wife had their first child during last season while they were living in town.
  23. How did you get to be so authoritative about who has what roles in the Toronto series? And please don't say you follow the press reports - those are written by outsiders looking in.
