  1. That concerns me because Heath Evans is very knowledgable.
  2. This is really the question of the week. If we can protect Orton, we win.
  3. I understand he's being considered for sainthood. No better karma than that. Winner!
  4. Based on my study of Buddy Nix press conferences, I've concluded that his thumbs are in fact shaped like bananas. But I can't confirm (yet) that he is in fact our very own Bananathumb. Further updates to come as the investigation progresses... Maybe I should have broken this news in a separate thread?
  5. Serious question: does continuity truly breed success, or is it more accurate to say that success results in continuity? Kind of a chicken and egg question there.
  6. Agree. Russ is safe regardless and is trying to vouch for the Dougs. But it likely won't cut ANY ice with the consultant. Who's his Fisher buddy?
  7. I'd feel better about this if we were playing with rules from the 1980s. As Rivers and Brady have proved, good QBs can beat us with the pass.
  8. I appreciate the analysis but I wonder when Orton is sacked, especially in FG range, could he have thrown the ball away?
  9. Thanks for asking Rubes. I wonder what Sal is basing this on. No need to ask him (unless you want to...LOL).
  10. Some media type has got to get to the bottom of why Urbik hasn't seen the field yet at what is a terrible guard position for this team. Did he get caught making fun of Marrone behind his back or something? There's a reason why you don't see 6'7" guards, and Pears exemplifies that. How he rates starting over Urbik is inexplicable.
  11. Ditto this, except I'll want EJ back.
  12. I had the same thought. The Bills seem to devalue interior line play, and what is this getting them? In contrast, Jerry Jones, that draft mastermind, picks G Zack Martin in the first round and he's now in the conversation for offensive ROY. Link
  13. The scary part is, Zimmer will probably anticipate this.
  14. I can see where Watkins could have limited targets when covered by Revis. And I can understand protecting Watkins somewhat while he had the rib issue. But since Watkins himself said last week that his ribs are back to normal, why not run a jet sweep or bubble screen or even a reverse to get him the ball early in the game? Hackett's game calling/inability to use Watkins as a weapon seems to contradict Whaley's logic in giving up next year's 1st rounder for Watkins.
  15. Do you blame Sammy when he's not targeted? How did he do when he was thrown to? Reconsider your position, please.
  16. Duke Williams - game over.
  17. Spiller is killing us. Hit the hole and hang onto the ball, please. Hopefully we have all our mistakes out of out system.
  18. What's the mystery? You hire people and let them do their jobs.
  19. Can I just take a second to say, this thread is awesome? Great job guys.
  20. I have to agree. Saw them down here this summer, and it was disappointing.
  21. Great man, great thread.
  22. Smooth, you are new here and maybe I should cut you some slack but I have to say, I really dislike your posts. BTW, you may be "Smooth" but you're definitely not smooth.
  23. LOL Pears is still playing tackle (mentally and physically). I'm not an OL expert but don't you protect from the inside out when the QB's in the pocket?
  24. Rarely do TV announcers help me enjoy a game. What I find irritating about Fox is they seem to have a long delay in showing down and distance. I always want to know the distance at the snap and Fox is just slow with that. To me that is basic football coverage and Fox just can't seem to get that done.
