What you quoted were reactions, correct? As in, the things he was commenting on had already happened? I'm not a big Marrone fan, I too have my doubts, but what coach has control over things that have already happened? How would "they're killing me Whitey!" Be materially different? Did that question from Saban demonstrate control any more than what Marrone said?

I appreciate Promo's perspective to some degree, as it represents a level of maturity that is often lacking here. But at some point, can't we expect to win games that we dominate? I think it's very reasonable to be disappointed and stunned at the continual ineptitude. Every team has good plays in a game. Big deal. The winners do what it takes at the critical moments, and we seem to come up short way too often. We're working on 15 years here.

Could not agree more, OP. Play the percentages and take the 3 points, pin the Chiefs at the 20 and put your D on the field with 3 TOs + the 2 minute warning. Get the ball back and then kick another 3 and win.

I still think that title belongs to Fred. Sammy looks like a great player but "heart and soul" is a title not easily or quickly earned.

I thought the game was already declared a sellout. Club seats do not count in that determination, and of course Stubhub tickets and others in the resale market don't count either.

Mini-hubub down here about Mallett tweeting out something after the game Sunday that included something to the effect of: #waitingtobecalled Mallett promptly deleted it. Also there was word of Clowney liking some instagram photos of a female admirer, during the game.

That ONE thread is in itself worthy of satire IMO. What actual NFL people fire an OC that's running the offense of a 5-3 football team? None. Fans who call for such firing are comical IMO.

I follow the Bills fairly closely, but I don't recall seeing or reading that Orton vetoed Marrone's decision to punt on 4th vs the Pats*. Do you have a link for that?

Can a non-expert offer an opinion in this thread? I see this coming down to the Bills' ability to implement a short passing game and protecting Orton. If they can do those things, they win. Any word on Aaron Williams' availability yet?
