  1. Marrone had no HC experience prior to being selected, so there was no track record of ass-ness to see through or detect. Once you hire him, you must back him until he fails. What other choice did Brandon have except to do what he could to make the situation work? Hindsight is 20/20 but I'd love to hear what any of you would do differently.
  2. Bills spin machine cranking into high gear. The nuggets about low level staffers and Marrone having to approve videos before they were posted to the website clearly came from inside the org. I'm sure many in the org were less than enamored with Marrone all along, but if you say anything while the machine is in motion and the regime is intact, you flush yourself down the drain. Now, the floodgates are open.
  3. Doug, can you get through this interview without saying something that's obvious?
  4. Yoli, can you cite examples of Pegula's social awkwardness? Have you been at a party with him? Surely you're not referring to his showing emotion at the time he single handedly saved the heart and soul of the region he loves? Brandon is well respected as a marketer. And yes, the product does need to be marketed when your team is located in the second smallest NFL market. 40,000 season ticket holders is not a cause for pride. And why should an owner just accept that he must sell his product at rock bottom prices? Increasing the pool of people who can actually pay NFL prices is a no brainer. Do you find those people in Cattaraugus County or Southern Ontario?
  5. Absolutely I'm blocking. Let's review: he starts as a bandwagon jumper, follows with posting a LAMP, then tells us about his long talks with his "advisors". Enough said.
  6. Hey Dr, do you think Pegula has the magical ability to deny HC candidates the ability or right to say no to his offer? It takes two to make a deal, especially when the team has no solid QB in place, no?
  7. May I ask, what is your source for this "information"?
  8. Well, this site is not exactly overrun with people who possess business savvy.
  9. Medical privacy is the law. Google HIPAA.
  10. Great ability, but it shows nowhere near often enough. As has been said already, he simply refuses to hit a hole quickly for 4 yards and looks for the big one every carry. But what REALLY put me over the edge on Spiller was the sack he gave up today. Not only did he miss the initial block, but then he turned his back on his man while the guy stepped right around him to get the strip sack. Inexcusable. There is NO part of his heart that's into pass pro.
  11. Ponder this: John Kryk ‏@JohnKryk 3m3 minutes ago #Bills led at halftime 8 times this season. In five of those games they scored 7 points or fewer in 2nd half. Won 2 of those (@Chi, @NE).
  12. Thanks Trauma Guy. Correct. Is it remarkable for a top 3 defense to win 9 games? Uh, no.
  13. Marrone is all about the current score on the board, and field position. He has no feel for the flow of the game and no "courage" to put his team in a position to win. He does not show any propensity to change and if that continues, will be forever a .500 coach at best. Bottom line, he does nothing to help his team win a game.
  14. Weird thread. Can you explain WHY you think this conspiracy exists or what's in it for the NFL?
  15. I do like that today, we snapped a 30+ game home winning streak for the Pats* vs. THE ENTIRE AFC. That isn't nothing as Schopp wants you to believe.
  16. I know enough about Bills fans to know that they will find a way to tailgate, regardless of the circumstances. It may take a different form, but it will survive. I'd bet on that any day of the week.
  17. Absolutely. I'm a Bills fan and I die hard. It's must-see TV every week, regardless of record. Would love to see the Gillette curse broken even if the game has no playoff implications.
  18. I also met Marv at the airport after this year's home opener. As you say, very humble and approachable.
  19. Exactly, which is why Whaley should make an exception this week and make a unilateral decision in favor of EJ. Marrone will put his W-L record ahead of the organization's good, and NOBODY comes before the good of the team.
  20. And yet he hung an "L" on Hackett and Marrone.
  21. I dont think its interesting, just their standard M.O. They have class, discretion and patience. They are methodical and simply do not feel the need to announce their intentions ahead of their actions.
  22. Not a bad season? Losing to a 2-12 team in week 16 is a bad season if you ask me.
  23. Seems to me that Terry sold his oil/gas properties at the EXACT right time. He timed the market nicely and liquidated in time to pay cash for the Bills. Businessmen like Pegula recognize Brandon's value and will move to maximize it and at the same time move him away from areas where he can't add value. Brandon would be one of the first to tell you he's not a football man, so they're already moving him into business operations as his sole focus. But they do need to get him to stop speaking about football, such as his recent vote of confidence for Doug Marrone on WGR.
