  1. Clearly they need a safety who can run Rex's defense authoritatively, the way Jim Leonard used to. If the rumor is true about Reed, he might be a good choice to help teach it.
  2. Your sanity and rationality is appreciated. Hopefully it stems the tide of dumb.
  3. Even with the existence of a waiting list?
  4. Ancient history. I'm looking forward to the thread complaining about the 2016 schedule.
  5. I agree. Very disappointing and disturbing. On the surface, injuries appear to be largely random but it just happens too much to this team, seemingly year in and year out. Maybe something a consultant could look at.
  6. What? Cool. This is why I got my Jeep! Coming in from Pittsburgh (no snow down there).
  7. Is this really newsworthy? Hasn't everyone done this at least once?
  8. That's as bad as it gets. The good news is, it gives even a rookie owner like Pegula an easy opportunity to ask Rex, "what the heck was that"? DT (or whoever's being protected) is as good as gone.
  9. I don't think a large scale season ticket holder exodus will happen, but if it did I don't think it would immediately move Pegula. I don't believe he's as revenue-sensitive as Ralph was.
  10. As maddening as Hughes' prolific penalizing has been this year, I have to agree with this.
  11. I don't think FAN motivation is the problem with this team, or worthy of a player's time and effort.
  12. You might want to do some research. He's actually very highly respected nationally and he could have easily taken other jobs in much bigger markets.
  13. Merry Christmas everyone! One of these years we'll have more in our football stocking than just coal!
  14. Looks like I'll be there with my kids and my daughter's boyfriend who is gearing up for entering Army boot camp. Looking forward to seeing many of you, and hopefully Westside.
  15. We're all thinking of you and pulling for you, Westside. Are you coming on Sunday? I hope so.
  16. Did Rex have an unfortunate shaving mishap or has he always had that nasty cut/scar on his neck?
  17. I think Cleveland's firing of Chud after 1 year, which was followed by an embarrassing coaching search in which they couldn't get anyone interested in the position, offers an object lesson in why Rex is going nowhere this year. The focus this year will be on making Rex work, not on jettisoning him.
  18. I have to agree. This was filmed there by NFL Network and it's a family highlight:
  19. Hi Mead, how quickly is it filling up these days? Bringing my kids up from Pittsburgh and may park in Hammers if I can get there early enough.
  20. Best post so far. Rex made a conscious decision to put himself and his scheme above what he knew his players did well last year, and that arrogance cost us one full football season. Why give him more rope? I like the idea of Pegula hiring a czar, then let the czar decide on his next coach. If possible, I hope we keep Whaley to run the scouting and pro personnel operations, but not allow him to be final decision maker over personnel or the draft.
  21. Done as a Bill. Another 1st round disaster.
  22. I was trying to think of a nice way of saying what I THINK you were saying. I'll have to say "I agree" with your post, and leave it at that.
  23. I'm feeling the same way. 16 years is mind numbing and soul crushing. This year for the first time it occurred to me how foolish it is to allow 22 men on a football field to control my mood and attitude, when I could be spending that time hiking a mountain trail and enjoying that experience.
