  1. As maddening as Hughes' prolific penalizing has been this year, I have to agree with this.
  2. I don't think FAN motivation is the problem with this team, or worthy of a player's time and effort.
  3. You might want to do some research. He's actually very highly respected nationally and he could have easily taken other jobs in much bigger markets.
  4. Merry Christmas everyone! One of these years we'll have more in our football stocking than just coal!
  5. Looks like I'll be there with my kids and my daughter's boyfriend who is gearing up for entering Army boot camp. Looking forward to seeing many of you, and hopefully Westside.
  6. We're all thinking of you and pulling for you, Westside. Are you coming on Sunday? I hope so.
  7. Did Rex have an unfortunate shaving mishap or has he always had that nasty cut/scar on his neck?
  8. I think Cleveland's firing of Chud after 1 year, which was followed by an embarrassing coaching search in which they couldn't get anyone interested in the position, offers an object lesson in why Rex is going nowhere this year. The focus this year will be on making Rex work, not on jettisoning him.
  9. I have to agree. This was filmed there by NFL Network and it's a family highlight:
  10. Hi Mead, how quickly is it filling up these days? Bringing my kids up from Pittsburgh and may park in Hammers if I can get there early enough.
  11. Best post so far. Rex made a conscious decision to put himself and his scheme above what he knew his players did well last year, and that arrogance cost us one full football season. Why give him more rope? I like the idea of Pegula hiring a czar, then let the czar decide on his next coach. If possible, I hope we keep Whaley to run the scouting and pro personnel operations, but not allow him to be final decision maker over personnel or the draft.
  12. Done as a Bill. Another 1st round disaster.
  13. I was trying to think of a nice way of saying what I THINK you were saying. I'll have to say "I agree" with your post, and leave it at that.
  14. I'm feeling the same way. 16 years is mind numbing and soul crushing. This year for the first time it occurred to me how foolish it is to allow 22 men on a football field to control my mood and attitude, when I could be spending that time hiking a mountain trail and enjoying that experience.
  15. I first bought my tickets when ownership was in question. To my way of thinking, supporting the team was one small thing I could do to help keep the team in place. I have certain charitable objectives I try to hit every year, so I was able to convince my wife that donating unused tickets to charity would help us meet those objectives. When I was in Houston I flew in for 2 games a year and donated most of the rest to charity. Now I'm in the Pittsburgh area (still havent changed my name though) so I go to nearly all games and donate the rest. I'm probably an anomaly and definitely not rich but the Bills are an important enough part of my life that I don't mind continuing to invest. And I still get excited about coming to the Ralph on gamedays. I still believe there are way too many locals who take the team for granted. Living outside of WNY helps you appreciate how cool it is that our tiny town has an NFL franchise.
  16. I don't think Rex is the answer, but regardless, I'm in for next year. Couldn't imagine slipping back to casual fandom.
  17. Tyrod is 6-0 when the Bills pass 30 times or FEWER.
  18. It's one thing to go to the owner to complain, but another to then leak it to the media. Chip cannot be pleased.
  19. I worry that with Urbik, we lose the ability to pull. But I did see EWood pulling yesterday from center. Not sure I remember seeing a Bills center pull since Kent Hull.
  20. Could not agree more. Roman had a great week/day.
  21. All good, thanks for asking. Part of the issue is a certain 25th wedding anniversary getaway. So, no complaints.
  22. That's right, but like I said, some unusual circumstances this weekend kept me away. Happy to report, the tickets WERE used by one non-gaseous poster.
