  1. /\ This (substituting nachos for tacos) worked for me last week, so I'll gladly try it again.
  2. I see what you did there. Well played.
  3. I'm hoping the ankle reference was a mistake. You meant his foot, right?
  4. Operative words in bold. Let's remember, abiding by the rules SHOULD also be a given. If you consciously identify and execute ways of bending the rules, you really don't worry about what should happen.
  5. Yet disturbances occur far more at Gillette than any other venue. I wonder why.
  6. I would consider asking the NFL to have somebody on site to monitor the communications all game long (for both teams) and correlate the outages to what's happening on the field. This has to be documented and deterred with punishment, once and for all. Agree. What's the Pats** home record at Gillette? - it's already approaching statistical impossibility.
  7. I'm sure security hates having to enforce that.
  8. Too bad Hammers wasn't easier to get out of after the game. Living in Pittsburgh these days and I've been parking at ECC so I can get on the Thruway easily after the game. Maybe one of these weeks I'll stop by.
  9. Married life can be hard enough without THAT. How do you make that work?
  10. I think this is the answer. Anthony Lynn even mentioned his height when responding to media questions about "OTM". Hopefully Lynn uses that understanding of the problem to find an answer for it.
  11. I don't buy it. Under what scenario does Rex get the boot AND Lynn gets promoted? Our offense improves significantly but we lose games 40-38 all year? That would mean the defense craters, but the Ryan brothers destroy their father's legacy permanently. And this is something Rex has premeditated? Or, Rex just decides he's had enough after one year after bringing his brother here? Nah.
  12. Um, listen to Rex's presser. There's no inside scoop. Rex reported it to the entire football world, fans included.
  13. As I stated in the prep thread, while this quote likely happened, it's not known if Russ' statement actually LEAD Pegula to go in that direction, or if it was uttered AFTER Pegula had expressed his preference for Rex (and was Russ' way of helping his boss get what he wanted).
  14. So you read this to mean that Russ persuaded Pegula to go in Rex's direction. But context is everything. It could have easily been, Pegula first stated his preference for Rex, then Russ responded with the comment to not let him out of the building to prevent him from getting away. As in, "boss, if you want to make that happen, here's what you need to do". We just don't know.
  15. It would be interesting to know how Berchtold and Kim Pegula get along. They seem like polar opposites when it comes to their approach to media relations.
  16. I was NOT a fan of firing Roman, but on the bright side it will over time help to clarify a few things beyond a doubt that will set the future direction of this team: a) whether the offensive issues were Roman's fault or the players; b) the "real Tyrod" will be exposed - either he blossoms or continues on his current path under a different OC; c) Anthony Lynn will be unmasked as a hidden gem of a coach, or just another Rex crony who was a Rooney candidate; ...and as a result of all of the above... d) the quality of Rex's judgment as a football man will be laid bare for all to see. It should be interesting.
  17. Exactly. Why answer that question now, other than to prop up this particular thread?
  18. Are you thinking that Roman directed half-field reads by Taylor? If anything I would see that as more a product of his QB's known flaws, that Roman was attempting to manage.
  19. I think you mean rift.
  20. Who wants to bet that when Ryan fired Roman, the first words out of Roman's mouth were, wait, who's defense gave up 37 last night?
  21. [ I guess I should have specified but I thought it was rather obvious: NE = New Era
  22. Yes, my son and I did it. I'm guessing it wasn't as popular as they expected because initially the rules were you needed to get a full body spray in exchange for a gift card good for a free cap (up to $39) from the Bills Store. But when we got there they said a little on the face and arms would get you the gift card. It washed off easily with water so, minimal effort for a free cap. A NE t-shirt and water bottle were also thrown in. I did better there than I did with DirecTV this year.
  23. It's great that the Bills are employing this technology. It's obviously pretty cutting edge since it was new to Shady. But I wish they weren't so wiling to share all this with the world. I'm pretty sure that Belichick never would.
  24. In my opinion most of you are overreacting to the opener after a long off-season of anticipation, and maybe an expensive road trip to the Charm City where we laid an egg. Suggest everyone who laid out cash last week not take it too personally. Its one game. I'll reassess after 3-4 games. Don't get me wrong, I'm not optimistic, but I'm not ready to pass judgement YET.
  25. No. But this offseason I repurposed an old throwback Trent Edwards to a Tyrod. It looks really sweet but if Tyrod flames out this year, that jersey just might too.
